Great explanation on how to use transition colors to your paintings more vivid and lively. I am studying color alterations currently in a 2D class and this was very helpful. Going to give it a try on my assignment. Thanks.

Searching the internet I found your videos informative at a time when I needed inspiration, technical help and general creativity. Most of my summer is taking inspiring photographs with some quick sketches and quick paintings along the way. Living in Canada on Manitoulin Island every corner has incredible views and trying to simplify a controlled painting can be difficult. Thank you.

This is a very helpful video - I loved watching how you mix the colors on your palette…I have never heard the term “transition color” but it is a wonderful concept and one I will find so useful! Great job explaining and demonstrating transition colors, Ian. I am really looking forward to your Monument Valley trip. I haven't spent as much time in the area in the past couple of years, but I used to go there and photograph specific areas for future paintings.
