Blue tape saved my bacon when engraving a logo on champagne flutes. I had a round logo and forgot to allow for the curvature of the glass. My test on blue tape reminded me and saved having to replace the customer’s glasses.

Great video Matt!! just out of curiousity, do you have a walk out basement? would like to setup my basement as a workshop but I don't think I'll be able to get a laser machine like your blue one down the stairs as its around 375lbs plus the weight of two guys bringing it down and the staircase holding the weight. Was wondering how you set the lasers up down there. Might have to use my garage but my basement has more room. Thanks!

When you burn the glass just the glass is 30 speed hundred percent power. When you are etching the tape so you don’t burn the glass you would go 100% speed in 12% power. The tape is only used to make sure the etching is in the right spot.
