maybe it is better to just put some worm/earthworm/red-wriggler to a pit-latrine. if a pit-latrine is full of feces then dig another pit-latrine. put plant-seed to that full-pit-latrine. worm/earthworm/red-wriggler convert feces to vermicompost. vermicompost is a fertile-soil for growing food. vermicomposting tips : wortel.ucoz.com/vermicompost.htm

Lubega Richard in a twin pit toilet system there are two pits. when one pit gets filled the supply channel to it is cut off. it is not disturbed for one or two years. after two years it dries off on its own. there is no odour and it is an environment friendly procedure.
