    I llike the Kia scissors for trimming jump stitches. They have a very sharp tip and are good to get in the tight spaces.

    It’s easier if you use a sharp seam riper to cut jump stitches

    Removing jump stitches, use smaller embroidery scissors.

    You don’t mention moving the design on the machine screen. I had thought you were going to center it on that last fold you made.

    Do you prewash your tea towel first?

  • @TheCraftyAuthor

    @TheCraftyAuthor

    Sharon- No, I did not pre-wash my tea towel. I didn’t notice a lot of shrinkage when I did wash it. I think you would be fine whether you pre-washed or not. 😊

    I just received my embroidery machine. The first project I'd like to make is tea towels. My sewing store recommended wash away stabilizer.. Have you tried that at all?

  • @TheCraftyAuthor

    @TheCraftyAuthor

    Yes. I use wash away stabilizer on the front and tear away on the back. I feel the water soluble is an absolutely must for the front. 😊

  • @TheCraftyAuthor

    @TheCraftyAuthor

    Karen- It depends on what size your machine will work with. My personal opinion is to get a 5x7 hoop. 😊

    They must not be selling the towels anymore. That was the direct link to their website. You can embroider on any tea towel, I was just sharing the link to the brand that I used. Hopefully, they will get some more back in stock.
