Hi, Gabi! Great video, as always! ❤️ I didn’t know the best place to ask this, but wanted your expert opinion. Is it better for the health of my hair, fullness and longevity, to blow it out while it is wet or let it air dry and then blow it out??
@GlamGirlGabi
Жыл бұрын
@@lisaswords1582 Your hair is stronger when it is dry so in terms of hair health, you have less potential for damage if you start with it dry but it looks WAY better if you blow it out from a damp state because you get a lot more control over your hair when it is wet/damp. I know that is not the best answer. I personally air dry for a bit and when my hair is 50% dry, I finish it by blowing it out.

@@GlamGirlGabiMeant to ask, I wash my hair at night, but do not go to bed with it wet, do you still advise the same? If I don’t blow it out section by section, I tousle it dry and go to bed!

@@lisaswords1582 I would probably still blow it out and then sleep with a satin cap. Do you have one of those? You will wake up with fantastic, smooth voluminous hair if you do it that way.
I am a hairstylist as well. I used to have short damaged hair and I would always gravitate toward using heat on days old hair. On top of that not using a heat protectant too. Exactly what Gabi is doing here. The prep step is fine every once in a while but honestly I am so not for blowdrying old greasy hair even it you have used a dry shampoo, especially with a hot brush considering they aren't really easy to clean. Just putting dry shampoo and and brushing it through will save you a lot of damage long term no need for the heat tool the pony tail would have looked exactly the same maybe just a slight wave. If you have fine hair treat it gently and practice what you preach because a lot of people see this as easy every day quick hair styles. Well do this twice a week for a while and your hair will be fried plus your hot tools will be extra covered in gunk. Why don't hairstylists have long hair? cuz they do this every other day before work always using hot tools, changing colors with the seasons, and then they are stuck getting regular hair cuts cuz they are damaging the heck out of their hair.

That seems like a lot of work... I'd rather just wash my hair!

maybe for you… but If I were to wash my hair whenever it got greasy, than i would wash it after every 6 hours… It’s simply not feasible plus it aggravates oil production. So I need ideas how to still look well with my super thin, limp greasy hair and this youtuber presented some great ideas, very easy to make and doesn’t require a lot of technique or expensive products. I have watched hundreds of videos on how to handle thin greasy hair and this is one of the very few videos I am actually saving, and that means a lot.

Just amazing! Best tutorial I have seen on how to manage fine greasy hair properly. I am so inspired and can't wait to try these hair styles. Thank you very much Gaby. 💚✨😍
Yes, I love the PonyFull look! Then again, I did the high hair thing in the early 90’s too. I’m 55 now and have hair similar to yours.
I love that ponytail puffer! I'm always pulling at mine to give it a bit more height and thickness
It's probably not a great idea to leave so much oil build-up on your scalp and then use products to disguise or absorb it from your hair. It will still be clogging your hair follicles and the products cause build-up as well. I have an oily scalp and on occasion I've had to use dry shampoo when I was in a big hurry and had no time to wash my hair, but I wouldn't make it a habit. I like the cute hairstyles you demonstrated. I'm going to have to look for that O-ponytail ring. I've never seen it before! Also the style with two buns that you looped together is very pretty and I will have to give it a try.
You are just beautiful! My favorite is the last bun hack…so pretty. My hair is so thin, I can’t get it in a bun without looking like a skinned rabbit. Ill keep trying! Thanks, Gabi, for all the tips…be blessed!

Another great video. I’d love to hear your recommendations of the best blow dryer for fullness of fine wavy hair.
Going to try that last one!
I think the pony full is a great ponytail and looks great on your head shape and hair line.
Really cute hairstyles, thank you! I personally really liked the braided bun, the middle parting sleek ponytail & the last hairstyle of two messy pigtail buns into one bun (younger me used to love combining two parts into one big bun : it’s been a minute since! 😂❤) ~ Especially makes for beautiful looks when wearing hoop earrings, covering up any thin to fine baby hairs in the front for these updos (can even brush with a clean & only for hair toothbrush & gel or hairspray). I might even be receptive into going back to using pomades.* They’re very helpful. Thanks again, (!)
Oh, you are my girl! I shampoo once a week. Super bleached hair. Not gunna lie. You would look stunning with anything in your hair!

Dry shampoo is not good!!
Question: since you experienced "tension alopecia" and went through the cost and process of re-establishing hair, can't that type of alopecia happen again with these hairstyles? I'm trying to remember if you addressed my question in your "journey" videos and I can't. I ask because I'm likely going to start interviewing doctors for the same and am curious about a person's hair-styling habits and the longevity of the results. Thank you.
Love the last one!

Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback Anne. I’m so happy that you found this one to be useful.
I used to wash my fine thin hair daily until I was in my late 50’s and the grey hair was coarser but seemed drier. I found that some dry shampoos were better than others when I started using them as I didn’t want to wash as often as my grey hair became unruly. I use the dry shampoo at bedtime, brush it out well in the morning and works better than just leaving it in for a few minutes. Most of my grey is concentrated on the crown and I can avoid using the dry shampoo there.
I really like the ponytails 😊

Great vid for when you have to get going to be somewhere but don’t have the time to wash, and blow dry hair. In my case, I can’t just wash my hair and let it air dry, it will just look frizzy, better to just put hair up, in this interesting way, and wash later 🌺
