Yeah but I use this technique and easily Solo'd

Correction: currently you do NOT need to leave one person out of the vault. If your entire crew dies the island doesn’t reset and you can grab the chests when you respawn. We did it last night on a galleon. All 4 of us stayed after the door closed to grab gold piles and we cleared the vault

Thanks bro! My mate and i started getting back into the game and hopped on a vault. Looted about 1/10th of the entire vault since we werent the best. Will try this out next time i do a vault.

Thanks a lot! Only came back to sea of thieves recently, I'm so close to pirate legend now. I randomly decided to do one of these voyages, got into the vault and didn't realise how it worked so it flooded and I lost all of the loot lol

This video is actually great because it shows everything, and I mean EVERYTHING about these types of voyages. There is a reason I've only done 1 shrine, and 1 vault. Because of the BS that happens with the dig spots and the maps. They make you spend 2 hours going around the map until you finally get to where you actually need to go to dig. This is the reason most people don't like the game and I don't blame them not going to lie.

Thanks for an awesome video, while our crew were getting into vaults we were nowhere near solving the puzzles, trying to look for all the medallions. Cheers

the rule is always the ancient tribute chest first and don't care about anything under a captain chest, if you got time for more marauders chest never take any castaways chests from these things.

I always optimise casataways chests becuase I need a commendation from selling them.

i just retuned to sea of thieves and didnt even know these were a thing, but its very cool.

Note: if it's one chain on pillar 4's picture that means you need pillar 2 to match if it's 2 chains that's pillar 3

You only need one medallion. Get the first symbol. Go to the 4th pillar and find the first symbol. Then go to pillars 2 and 3 and match the symbols seen in pillar 4. If that doesn’t work go to 4th pillar and find your first symbol again. match 2 and 3 again because there are 2 sides of the block that show the 1st symbol.

50-50 chance to get it right and in most cases you will???

I wonder if you could get a harpoon rowboat down the tunnel and in front of the door grabbing still the chests and items quicker?

We always keep all the crew in the vault when it closes. we all gather gold piles, and after we die and spawn back, the vault is still open, then we haul the stuff to the ship

Nice. That's some cool math I didn't consider in this game. (The math is the logic that reveals the solution after only one medallion is found.) You've got discreet math and probabilities and permutations. I like math.

When he says easy he means it cheers heaps help a lot

2:22 was the next map piece on the same island as the first map piece?

When my compass spins around like crazy, I dig but there is nothing there, I dug about 20 holes in tge area but nothing showed up

My way finder proceed to point where we had just dug on the first island even after getting the map

just did this solo and the room instantly filled with water and killed me. im confused, why did it fill instantly with me in there? lost all my loot.

This was one of the top results when I searched, however this seems to be outdated. Can you please add a comment clarifying that this advice is no longer correct please? @GhostAdmiral Cheers:) (explanation: your video shows how you grab one medallion and reason out what the pillars should be turned to instead of gathering all 3 which show the pillar complete pillar solution. Now, you need to do your method but for each of the three medallions, i.e. insert one medallion-turn the pillars-press the solution button. Then repeat the same with the other two medallions, only then the vault will open)

I was watching the video and you didn’t say there was a time limit

"How to solo vaults" there goes 13 minutes and 59 seconds that I could have been spending figuring out how to solo them on my own.

It made me Sail for over a hour just to get attacked by a reaper

What happens if you die while doing it? Can you wait for the door and do it again?

You only get one shot! You die inside the vault or run out of time, the door will close. The door to the tunnel will stay open until you leave the island so you can collect any loot you gained!

No they despawn when the vault door closes, I’ve been doing vaults for a week and I’m top ten in the world for gold hoarders emissary value trust I’ve definitely tried to sell a medallion

verynot easy, this is so annoying, bro i lost so much loot because of this stupid puzzle, the puzzle wasnt explained enough

Do not I respect do NOT do the medallion puzzle. It's a trap to get you to stay longer. As I type this I'm heading to an Outpost after my second vault, almost getting trapped inside cause I tried to the medallion puzzle. I matched all the pillars and tried all the pictures on the fourth pillar. It WOULDNT. OPEN. I gave up and got the chests, barely making it out with seconds to spare. I haven't gotten the door to open ONCE. I can only deem it impossible and claim it's been changed into a trap to keep you occupied and waste your three minutes. I assume it's a bug cause KZreadrs open it so I guess it has a 99.9% chance of actually working cause I have never gotten it open. So I'm just gonna ignore the medallions for now on. It's not worth it

You didn't do it solo, though. That's cheating!

DO. NOT. RAISE. AN EMISSARY FLAG... the reason youtubers tell you to do this is because emissaries are visible to other emissaries, and most youtbers for SoT love to play reaper.... you are just giving them a fat juicy target, and that's exactly what they want to do. A more accurate title would be "How to load your ship for us Reapers - tip 1: Make sure we can find you at all times"

Sorry what? 🤣 Ok apart from how incredibly stupid anyone would be to not use an emissary, and how you think that this is some how a secret psyop to try and catch someone out doing this when it's a normal thing people do... You realize that emissaries are NOT visible to other emissaries 🤣? Emissaries are only visible to Grade 5 Reapers emissaries! Hate to break it to you but you're doing something incredibly wrong if you're not using one in the game! I only see Reapers in my server 25-50% of the time, the seas aren't pouring with them! I've not done Reapers in atleast a month or two recently, as I've been grinding Athena!

So ive just wasted like an hour getting the map all sorted opened up the vault and it started flooding with water instantly and i drowned, i see you failed to mention that!!!!!!!!!!!
