Man thank you for this guide, I just S ranked Wally Warbles after 3 hours and now Chef Saltbaker and Mortimer Freeze are my last S rank to 300% the game

You should make cuphead challenge videos. Whenever i hang out with my friends we do cuphead challenges together and they usually are fun. Here are some good ones: Phase Survival: Put every phase in the game on a wheel. everyone spins it. You go to the phase you land on (with full HP so eliminate stuff like saltbaker phase 3 or Cala Maria phase 3) And see who lasts the longest in their selected phase. You could get lucky with P1 (you) getting goopy phase 3 while P2 gets esther phase 3 and P3 gets pirouletta. You cannot shoot during this as its up to how long you can survive. Whoever lives the longest wins. (also no using safe spots like in djimmi and brineybeard) 100% Race: Make everyone start a new file and see who can 100% the game first Parry Guess: One person picks of a random parryable object in the game, (again, put them on a wheel) then gives out hints to what the parry is. every 5 minutes you get a question. Examples: Run & Gun? Isle 3? Aeroplane Boss? stuff like that. first person to find and parry the object wins. I personally reccomend banning saltbakers heart, my friend is mean. Cuphead randomizer: Make 3 seperate wheels. one for shots, one for supers, one for charms. Go through the bosses but every boss, you spin the three wheels These are just some of them. Enjoy!!!

I dont know if your gonna see this, since this videos is like 4 months old but i just wanted to thank you for these guides. After like a week or 2 i finally 300 percented cuphead.

In regards to future content, it really is a mystery box on what can be done. Perhaps you could continue with other Indie platformers? For me personally, I recently completed Gravity Circuit; a Megaman X love letter platformer. Otherwise, you could look for more games that have difficult challenges that you could provide guides on. Regardless of what happens, video was great!

The jumping flames are the most annoying minions in the entire game and it’s not even close. It’s like MDHR designed them specifically to piss you off, even down to the way they dance

Ikr! When your trying to dodge the limes, parry the sugar cubes, dodge the berrys, and kill the animal cookies, it’s ALWAYS the flames that end up unfairly taking my hp

Idk, I feel like Mortimer's icicles or the flying ice creams are far worse, almost undodgeable

Just S ranked him today. For people struggling with aiming ur shots or keeping the HP requirement, I recommend bringing chaser, crackshot, Ms chalice, and super 2. Worked for me great and I hope it works for you too.

I've picked up the DLC a few weeks ago, I've used your guide for some though bosses and saltbaker is the only boss I haven't S rank yet. Hope your video will give me insight for this fight!

Hey MrKap thanks for helping me out for S-Ranking Glumstone the Giant I wasn't trying to get the S-Rank because I was struggling on this boss but apparently I actually saved my super for the Last Phase and did some damage and I defeated him just to get the S-Rank (I can't believe I wrote entire speech)

Thank you I finally I S thanked him and now 300% completed the game it took me over 100 tries until this video came out

One thing I might add, try to dodge the pepper thrown at you by ducking instead of jumping (particularly, the ones thrown at you from the bottom shakers). Jumping too much on that phase will be a bit too risky with the mint leaves and stuff. I don't know a video that showcases this, so I uploaded one myself.

Just wanted to say that this is definitely true, just not all the time lol. I was debating saying that in the video, but it's just not something you can always do practically, and I actually ended up getting hit a couple of times doing that which was weird, so I opted to not put it in the video.

When I was beating all the dlc bosses on expert I accidentally S ranked saltbaker because the timer is really generous. That and chalice’s 2nd super art is insane for trying to preserve your hp

Another tip for practically any s rank is “LEARN YOUR WEAPONS!” You don’t want to go into a fight blind on what shot or what charm does this or that, you want to study them, everything from their damage to there ex, and from their ability to take out said boss, very useful skill

Your real-time commentary is interesting. If you did that while perfect-chaining Ikaruga that would be lit, but probably impossible.

I had been trying since 2021 and thus was here the whole time?! I wish I knew about this sooner.

I got this game nearly two weeks ago as a birthday gift and on the day of I pretty much blazed through the game on normal, the next day king dice kicked my ass and after *many* hours I finally kicked HIS ass. Expert mode was fun at first I beat a lot of bosses first try on expert... then wally warbles happened (so many tires and so many charm configurations) but the heart ring ultimate saved me from finding a bird and skinning it alive (after I got the DLC stuff cuz the first time I beat his was with... coffee). I was dreading king dice on expert but then realised doing it as chalice made the fight *SO MUCH EASIER* even getting the achievement don't get hit on king dice (which I was fine with never getting but somehow got cuz I think I was at 4 or 3hp when beating him). Worst DLC boss was salt baker but the howling aces were so needlessly hard, especially when trying to S rank it. Now almost 2 weeks with the game and as I'm writing this *SALT BAKER* is the only boss I haven't S ranked RN... took hundreds of times to actually beat him on expert but like the baker does, I'm gonna let you cook! Cuz I've not needed a guide with none of the other bosses and I'm "getting salty".

I have an idea, you could meet up with other cuphead yters and maybe do some co-op playing and challenges etc

Personally, I use Crackshot and Roundabout, with Ms. Chalice and her Shield Pal. In terms of addition content for you, do what you feel passionate about first, then slowly add what your viewers want.

I remember trying to s rank chef salt baker and it was so annoying then regular mode, but roundabout and chaser are really good for this boss fight although I have to only s rank 2 more bosses and I will have a 300% save file. When I did try to do this I could barely beat the second phrase even though I have been playing this game for like 6 years lol. 😂

Could you make guides on how to beat the King Bosses from the DLC?

Hey! I really enjoyed watching your S-rank videos. What is your best S-rank time for Saltbaker? Or your best times for all bosses really? I don’t know if you’ve spent time trying to optimize these fights but you clearly have the skill!

I've definitely gotten a sub 40 time before on a boss, but for Chef Saltbaker, probably just under 2 minutes or something like that because the fight is VERY long.

@@MrKap Oh wow - sub 40 is insane. I think my fastest S-rank time is like 42 seconds for Goopy. Haven’t gone sub 40 for any boss. My personal goal was to achieve sub 1:30 for all boss fights (other than King Dice) using Cuphead and no heart increasing charms (including Divine Relic). I finally managed it the other day - the last boss to fall being Saltbaker with a time of 1:28. I love playing Cuphead but the Saltbaker fight was not fun at all to optimize because it’s just so long as you stated.

May be cover a different platformer like Celeste?

Not sure if this has been asked yet.. tho its technically 2... is there a boss where itd actually be more optimal to go for the secret phase to get an s rank, and which secret phase boss would be the hardest to get an s rank on. my guesses for both questions, 1. maybe root pack, 2. sally stage play or howling aces

Fun fact: I S ranked him by accident I wanted to prove to myself that i can beat him on Expert again & accidentally got S rank once i finished him off Btw, thx for creating this type of content, this is the first video of urs i've seen Wally & Mortimer are the only bosses i haven't s ranked Cuphead is my second or third favorite game ever

oh no. personly i didn't like hollow knight when I first played I could beat some of the bosses and it was frustrating but I kept playing and found it SOO much fun I think you should try as pantheons are a good guide@@MrKap

i actually use the divine charm in this fight and for me it works the best, it has heart ring and smoke bomb plus you can still use all the weapons in the game, personally i think it’s the best choice for charms in this fight

Bruh I still can't beat him normally. I am trying to beat him the same way I beat the Devil. Weapons and charms from the DLC only. But this playlist was amazing and will be super helpful for players like me!

Funny enough when I got the achievement for s ranking a boss in dlc isle i s ranked salt baker

You could do soemthing like "P rank run 'n guns guide videos" but there arent alot of run'n guns

I would love to see you rank all the bosses based on how fun they are to fight instead of how hard they are to S rank. Ik it’s been done before but every time somebody does one their opinions are just wrong

To be completely honest, your last sentence is pretty much why I haven't made one. I actually find almost all the bosses to be fun and unique in their own ways, but I also enjoy aspects of bosses that either people don't agree with or people won't relate to. For example, I quite enjoy fighting Werner Werman because he's simple, easy to rush and get fast times, and can be heavily optimized with effective EX and weapon strategy. Same goes for Phantom Express as well pretty much. Once I get on the grind again, I'll probably post more videos like just for fun rankings and opinions, but everything is so subjective that it's hard to make something that everyone will enjoy without at least really taking my time with it. 😁👍

Personally i use ms chalice, crackshot, spread, and super art 1

I mean, everything should've already been said in the video. Charge almost 1 shots the shakers, so you could use that. Otherwise, if you need the extra assistance, use stuff like Smoke Bomb, Heart Ring, and even Divine Relic since that comes with all the relevant charms and switching weapons on the fly; assuming you have Divine Relic that is.

Same, when I first S-ranked him, I did it in about 10 mins. When I S-ranked every boss again, I did it again in like 5 mins

It's literally all about getting familiar with the bosses. When you're at the level of even attempting S Ranks, you should know EXACTLY how that boss plays out and the potential strategies and weapons you can use to defeat them easier. Although not all my videos will be helpful for starting players, they definitely go over tips and tricks that may be transferable to you! Also my YT shorts could help as well. Wish you the best of luck in your Cuphead journey!

​@@MrKap it took me 271 tries to beat inkwell isle 2, It was way less than what I was expecting. but grim matchstick was SUPER hard for me to beat, I tried to beat him for 3 days! I can't believe that I beat the clown in less than 20 attempts. I think that I am getting better at this game but I think that I'm still not good enough.
