I generally use these methods of checking the price and determining a selling price for items that I have a direct connection to because of my playing style. It helps with predicting the future price range and also the volume… kinda…. Is there more potential considering the low effort?

good insights but i'm still confused about a few things: 1.for lower volume items isn't it possible to be lots of offers for sell and buy but they just don't meet ?! and if not how can we guess their difference step 2.price update timers and update amount is there any rule of thumb ? sometihing like a nox scythe 3.last question how much does it take for trade reports to be outdated ? how can we know if an item prices are moving fast or slow ? is there any way to guess their possible buy or sell prices based on wiki graphs ?

So these are all great questions with some pretty in depth answers haha. Ill post the short versions but just reach out in the discord for more. 1. It can take time for the offers to hit your price, which is why they’re typically slower but that bigger gap means bigger margin opportunities. 2. Most items will update every 30-60 minutes and the update amount will vary depending on the price but if an item is 300m then typical update 100-300k. This is assuming your starting price is something you think is close to begin with. If you’re unsure, update a bit more aggressively on the amount. 3. Depends on the item volume. They’re all different. Really low volume items can be accurate for hours or days.

Flipping is definitely hard. Im able to buy items at a lower price then sell for higher but the full order wont sell.

Happens at times, you need to update your offers. Try doing less at a time to start.

Your zamorak hilt example failed because everyone is camping kril due to necromancy lol, so they probably wont be low volume for a long time. Also something I like to add for newer people flipping/merching is that you can tell just how low volume an item is by checking the graph preferably on the runescape wiki page.. The steppier looking the graph is (flat for long periods with no change), the lower the volume is. The grand exchange will not update the price of an item if there aren't enough traded. I know you know all of that, but for people who don't know watching this, it can be useful advice if you aren't sure if your item is low volume or not.
