Loved how Linda explained some of the basic workings of the Doodler, such as how to get out of the Pan mode, some of these things aren't intuitive to a beginner :)

Great fun watching you sketch a design. I have used the Sketch functionality in the MySewnet software for the last decade, glad to see there is now some competition. Does this software use the pressure sensitivity of the pen to alter stitch length, like the Sketch module in MySewnet? Once you have saved the design as an embroidery, you can import the embroidery design into Silhouette Studio and sketch it on paper with a fine tip pen, using any Silhouette Cameo die cutting machine.

I see you are useing the mouse here. all the other videos I saw were using a pen drawing right on the screen. The brushes as you called them do they work like they do in PAINT with the mouse. I dont have a touch screen computer. Thank you Nancy

Linda is using an XP pen monitor and for some reason her pen is still showing a “arrow curser” on screen even with the pen. I’m using a Wacom Cintiq and mine loses the “arrow curser” in pen mode. I’ve tried everting in the setting to get it to behave like hers, looks like I’ll be adding another monitor to my collection :) John

Can you please share sketching or drawing tutorials using this software to create my own artwork. I don’t want to trace someone else’s artworks, I want to create my own artworks within the software. Sketching or drawing is NOT TRACING. Tracing is nothing more than making a copy. A digitizing software is just that, tracing images, making a copy. Every Design Doodle tutorials I’m viewing is about tracing from other artworks and this is not what doodle means. Doodling is defined, “to draw pictures or patterns while thinking about something else or when you are bored .” It does not mean tracing. And @ $400 I might as well buy a full blown digitizer software. Otherwise, the software should be renamed to Design Tracing. Whereby let’s call Design Doodle a partial digitizing program.
