Weird, isn't it? I've been driving manuals for 25 years and still watch people's "how to drive a manual" videos.
@Multydrifter
7 жыл бұрын
I suggest you to use the engine break and downshift to slow down, and don't put it in neutral before stopping, the car acts differently if it's not in gear, good video anyway, even though i didn't liked the way he handled that stick, in europe beginners shift like that
Bless your heart for doing this man. Earned you a sub

“Until the moment your ready to pull out” man that’s been a hard one for me 🤧😂
Just to be clear, the method of starting from a stop with no gas is to help you learn and feel the friction point of the clutch. I ALWAYS give my car some gas when I am starting from a stop (mostly because I wouldn't start rolling fast enough for other drivers behind me). Some cars cannot start moving from a stop without giving them some gas or they will stall, however most modern day cars are able to automatically add fuel to compensate for not using the throttle. Again, this technique is for practice only, hope this helps!

Justin Buice I realize you hold the clutch in a bit everytime you shift as you go to the next gear. is that okay for the clutch?

Justin Buice is it good to down shift
@stillnottellingyoumyname8193
7 жыл бұрын
Marc Beyer You can do whatever you want. When i first started driving stick I I downshifted but now I just stick it in neutral and coast myself to a stop. But I feel like coasting to a stop is a bit more advanced. Yes it's fine to downshift I just like to use my clutch as little as possible

This was actually a great tutorial because now A. I know how to drive stick. B. You aren't cringey.
You make this soooo simple that now I want to purchase a bmw in manual.
Wow, this is undoubtedly the most simplistic and concise "manual how-to" video I've seen thus far (and done in my dream car, the 3 series at that). Very well done Justin. 👌👍
Hey Justin, Thanks a bunch for putting this manual shifting video together. I am currently teaching my fiance how to drive a stick and she is doing well...so I can now have her open up your video to assist her in between teachings, so thanks again. I too am a BMW driver, I've had two BMW's the E39 triptronic and now the Manual trans / E60 550i . Keep the videos coming
Now this is a guy who just earned my sub! All other people who try to explain it talk too much, and give complicated and long winded details of how it works instead of just showing how to do it.
this was truly the most helpful video in the world. thank you, my man. kudos!
THIS ACTUALLY HELPED OMG, I WATCHED MANY OTHER VIDEOS, BUT URS ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE, THANK YOU
Enjoyed watching this. It's videos like these I appreciate--no over-the-top gimmicky nonsense. The outtakes are a nice touch too. But gotta admit guilt, if my hand isn't on the shifter, it doesn't feel like I'm driving (even in automatics) 🤣
Can you do an advanced version, like rev matching and throttle blips. I can drive a manual well, but want to learn some extra stuff. Thanks!!!

Man, this is the best informative video i ever watched about manual driving everything i wanted to ask about in other videos you just answered it without me asking you covered everything Thank.
Just got my 328ci last Wednesday. This would be first car and the fact that it’s manual has me super excited with what’s to come. Super helpful video I can’t wait to get on the road 💪🏽
