Oh my goodness this is the greatest lesson you will learn throughout life over and over again. I have constantly felt like I'm "behind" in life because college took me 6 years and then I didn't;t even finish because my mental health became too much. But I started an art business and picked up hobbies that make me happy like skating and gardening. I'm learning everyday how to notice my thoughts, notice when I'm comparing and instead be proud of my fellow humans for achieving their versions of success. I work on letting that encourage me to pursue my version of successful. It's given me such a new fire for life and connecting with others, myself, and the world around me. I hope that you can be SO PROUD of your growth, your progress! Progress is progress! Much love to ya!

Thank you!! I honestly hate seeing those "how I became an expert in 4 weeks" I find it so discouraging, but I guess I'm just not one of those people who can pick it up that quickly

This is literally the first tutorial of anything roller skating where someone started with like the most basic beginning drill. That’s what I’ve always been looking for! Everyone else just seems to do the move slowly as if that’s how we will figure out how from that. 😂 Subscribing. 😎😎😎

What I like about your tutorials, is that you break it down so well for a newbie. I just ordered my Sure Grip Boardwalk skates today, and have watched many videos, but the more advanced skaters, tend to gloss over important learning steps. I like that you break it down like I'm t toddler learning how to walk! It is very sequencial and builds up as you present the move. Super easy to follow. I love that you do a lot of dance type moves as that is what I really want to learn to do as well as street skating.

Thank you SERIOUSLY. You’ve FINALLY helped me break it down in my MIND FIRST. I (like you) just about a year and I was trying you completely 180 and jack up this movement. Now after watching your video I’ve learned the proper movement. I can’t wait to drill this. Honestly even at the rink I feel I can do this (finding your own grove) the entire session in my own little (new skater) bubble. You’ve created a monster as well as a NEW FAN AND FOLLOWER. I’ll be on the lookout for more videos. If are ever in Tampa and visit one of our rinks I’d love to link so I could actually show you my progression. I’m extremely happy I found your page. Seriously, it’s 5:47am and I’ve been searching quite some time in hopes to find someone who matches “my learning” movement and not just the move.

I love how you keep doing the move over and over and over again. Some videos just demonstrate it a few times then you have to constantly rewind and rewatch it quickly. Keep on keeping on!

Your pivots are so smooth! That's the part I'm having trouble with. I think I'm picking up the back heel of my back leg too much. Yours looks like a little slide, you're not picking up your back heel too much. Thanks for the tutorial

Yep you got it bb! There's just a slight lift of the heel and pivot when that foot is on the toe and in the front :) You can do it!
