How to draw the Paisley Pattern easy step by step
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This is a legacy video from my old shoobeedoodling channel. It got a quarter of a million views! Will it achieve such heights again on my shooraynerdrawing channel?
The paisley pattern is a very old pattern that comes originally from the middle and far east. It's thought originally to have been based on the shape of a palm from or maybe the shape that cypress trees make when they bend over in a strong wind.
Basically you need to draw the outline and a few inner lines that follow the outer contour. Then it's up to you to either copy my design or fill up the space with your own patern designs. It's such a forgiving design, you can hardly go wrong with it, if you are patient and take your time. Good luck!

Agree. Very soothing voice. Great tutorial. Loved your mention of Mary Quant. Am going to attempt to paint a small white ceramic elephant for a local senior art show. I wanted to put some paisley figures on there. I will use a fine tip paint pen to do the outline, then carefully dab some paint inside for pops of color. We have to name our creations, so I thought of Posh Pachyderm.
Thankyou helps after 3 years in my art competition
Paisley's are also known as a celebration of life and nature. They are very common these days. And have unique beauty.
Quite lovely! Thank you!
Thank you so much for a wonderful drawing video..love this pattern..it's used a lot in Indian design, especially in textiles and henna.. looking forward to more videos and learning..thank you once again!
What fun, I think I’ll do a lot of these. Nice way to meditate.
Brilliant! The paisley famously comes from the ancient Daoist Yin and Yang symbol. It's incredibly profound in it's simplest form and incredibly stricking in decorative forms such as this
You know I have always been curious about these Thank You for the education Mr.Shoo

The shawls come from Paisley Scotland but the design originally comes from Persia and India en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paisley_shawls
Do anybody know who owns the popular paisley version like the bandana is the design a copyright or free use

no one owns the Paisley Pattern. But designers may have their own versions of it that are copyright. If you copy a Bandana design then that may be copyright too.

@@shooraynerdrawing thank you i did get inspired by the video and I looked up the history of paisley and wanted to then start from scratch but I was curious of the bandanna designs that you will find in a regular store because I wanted to edit and add to it
Whoever invented this definitely took mushrooms.

@@shooraynerdrawing that's why I had to stop half way. Lol. I'm using a mechanical pencil too so that helps the edges. Paisley is awesome. I'll pop back with the finished piece when it's complete. I look forward to future content 😊
