    if you want to actually hand draw, it's best to reverse the numbers. so in this video example, where 21" is the largest number, your outer perimeter measurements would be (34" length x 21" width). then work backward.

    Fun fact : you can take any 2 integers and use Fibonacci iterations and the ratio of the numbers will always approach phi. Ex . 6, 10, 16, 26, 42, 68, 110, 178....178/110 = 1.618. Im not sure how this might relate to drawings or spirals though. Maybe someone can connect this all together?

    Daniel Sniderman it’s a Jojo reference. If you don’t know, Jojo is a popular anime known a bit for it’s over-the-top exaggerations of actions. In the 7th part, Steel Ball Run, lesson 5 was shown to the main character Johnny, depicting him launching an infinite rotation by using this sequence via visualization.

    And what happens if you subdivide infinite decimally the original square? Since the ratio goes to 1:1 at the beginning of the Fibonacci sequence what happens when it goes in the other direction?

    great video, but i have something to mention. when you divide 21 by 13 you get 1.615... I thought the golden ratio was 1.618?

    I've been doing a lot of research about the golden ratio and when a equation equals a number thats very bloody close to 1.615... if rounded they equal the same... So it doesn't always need to be exactly Phi but if close when rounding then thats considered close enough and the golden ratio has more of a visual aspect to it than being just a number

    The relation between the fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio is that as the number of the sequence gets bigger, the proportion to the last number gets closer to the golden ratio, this is like a fibonacci spiral, there's also a golden ratio spiral that looks the same, but it's different.

    If you keep going it progressively approaches 1.618.... (=root (5/4) plus 1/2). The first rectangle is 2x1, the next is 3x2, then 5x3, etc.

    This is an invitation to see a theory on the nature of time! In this theory we have an emergent uncertain future continuously coming into existence relative to the spontaneous absorption and emission of photon energy.     It's wrong! When you draw a line from the top left corner to the bottom right corner of the proportion you teach, the line will not touch every point. The true golden ratio touches every point.
