I am waiting every second to watch this amazing video of you. And it did not disappoint me, your pencil drawing is very clever and creative. I'm also learning to draw with pencil, so I'm also learning a lot from this artwork.

I really like the way you drew reflections on a vase, thank you

Amazing work watching this really taught me to focus on each item or shape at a time and to outline or place the shadows lightly before completely shading

Very nice. I thought of using the same technique myself on the initial steps. I'll try this tomorrow.

I really wonder if you have full real time video of these session as well as course that deals with ideas and concept of skills that goes behind the process of making these still life and also introduce those basic skill to be exercised and practiced with realistic approach.

It’s a lot easier than you think to draw like this it doesn’t require talent or critical thinking you just need to practice by repetition to train your eye. I recommend looking at florent farges video on the ateliers method.

@@A_-.328 Doesn't require talent ? Yes true but not hard ? I don't think so, And observation is a completely different skill in itself. And combining observation and muscle memory and making decision to make a drawing, Yeah no sir I don't think its easy enough.

Nice enough drawing. Personally found some of the tonal choices difficult to accept. Especially, as some of it was tonally flat delineated by a few hyper-realistic pops. That'll be artistic licence. The fruit on the right side have a very strong shadow reduction on their right sides due to the reflection from the white of the tray, but the opposite (dark shadows) were marked down and light reflection was lost. The pear had a naturally darker shadow on the left where it is abutted to the vase and a distinctly lighter shadow where it is gaining reflected light off the light tray, yet the opposite was portrayed. The pear's shape was significantly altered and the shadow and highlight markings make it look more dented than pear-shaped. The apple on the left is distinctly lighter than the apple on the right, yet the opposite was portrayed. Let's call these choices of artistic licence.

✨ Incomplete picture. You didn't look at the handle of the vase like that. ✨ Another thing, where are you using, what grade of graphite, what blending are you doing, what pencil are you using extra dark, it would be helpful if you could write them on the screen. ✨ It is better to more slow down the video upload speed. ✨ Overall Fantastic 😍 Thank You. Take care & Get Well From India 🙏

For the extra dark tones he uses a charcoal pencil, you could also use thin charcoal sticks which are really cheap that’s why it blends so well with the tissue. For the rest I think is just 2h-2b with crosshatching

Karine.
