How to draw Qutub Minar | Drawing Qutub Minar step by step
Welcome to our channel! Today, we're exploring the historic and awe-inspiring Qutub Minar, one of the most remarkable monuments in India. Located in Delhi, this towering structure stands at 73 meters (240 feet) and is the tallest brick minaret in the world.
The Qutub Minar was commissioned by Qutb-ud-din Aibak in 1192 and completed by his successor, Iltutmish. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a shining example of Indo-Islamic Afghan architecture. The minaret is adorned with intricate carvings and verses from the Quran, showcasing the exquisite craftsmanship of the time.
The tower is constructed from red sandstone and marble, featuring five distinct stories with projecting balconies. Each story has a different architectural style, reflecting the influences of various periods. The base of the Qutub Minar has a diameter of 14.3 meters, tapering to 2.7 meters at the top.
Surrounding the Qutub Minar is the Qutub complex, which includes several significant structures like the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque, the Iron Pillar of Delhi, and the Alai Darwaza. The Iron Pillar, in particular, is a marvel of ancient metallurgy, standing rust-free for over 1,600 years.
