Just got this, I bumped the like button...but it doesn't go up to 1
Why do you need to apply the charcoal in layers? Why can’t you just go for the one you want or go from number 1, skip 2,3,4 and go to 5?

In other to achieve a very solid tone you have to go in layers cos the more the paper is able to absorb most of the charcoal particles the more solid and realistic the work becomes. And also makes the transition of one tone to another more realistic
