    The "Fibonacci Spiral" is only a way to approximate a true single-plane spiral, by using graduated quarter circles. It's a building and drawing aid. No part of a true spiral, is composed of radial lines, unless those "spiraling" around a cylinder in 3 dimensions. Excellent presentation none the less.

    Something I don't understand: if you take the sum of the perimeter of the square it makes sense, if you take the area of the square it doesn't. If I have 2 of the same blocks (like in the beginning of your drawing), when I add them the new block is smaller then the one on the drawing... can someone explain?

    if you continue to increase the squares in the fibonacci sequence does the spiral go outside the rectangle? I am working on logo designs using this method and I can see how circular shapes work with it but what if the shape is curved only slightly this will need to be two circles and a linear line? Does anyone know the rules for this? Can you use more than one golden rectangle in a grid to buikd different shapes as long as you use the ratio of 1.618?

    You have to cut sections by a ratio. Look up how Twitter made their Birdy using the ratio.

    +Waldorf Essentials The specific unit doesn't matter. Hence the word "unit", you could be using centimeteres, kilometers, miles, inches, feet, arms or fingers. As long as the unit is the same for all the squares, you should get there.

    This is an invitation to see a theory on the nature of time! In this theory we have an emergent uncertain future continuously coming into existence relative to the spontaneous absorption and emission of photon energy.
