Mary, Thank you. This instruction will give me some ideas to create my own leather carving designs since acanthus leaves are common in leather designs as well.

I love Acanthus patterns. I have an old battered paperback copy of Richard Glazier's Book Of Ornament (published by Wordsworth) and it has some lovely Acanthus designs in it.

I don't know what this is that I ended up drawing. But I put a little thought bubble next to it that says kill me. Because if it knew what it was vs. what it was intended to be...It would want death.
