I can’t thank you more... my grandpas favorite animal is a rabbit. He is having a double lung transplant as we speak. I drew this and I’m going to send it to him when this pandemic is over. You are so good at art and I really love your channel, from one artist to another.

Also, I really love how you notice the small details like how the fur gets shorter around the nose and how it gets slightly darker around the tip of the ear. You have such good eyes!

just, thank you. I love how you did it slowly so I could see exactly how to draw it unlike other you tubers this was extremely helpful and ALL my family members think this was extremely brilliant, you are very talented and gifted. This also expressed about how you don't need good suplies like Copic markers to make good art, all you used was a pencil and a black color pencil. Although you only used those supplies it turned out amazing. thank you.

You're right about rabbits... Even the albino rabbits hair around the nostrils is lighter and more sensitive. They use their noses for everything. The lighter fur cools them as does the long naked ears. The other stuff is indeed structural, just like with human ears. I loved the tutorial. I know this is an older video but i love all your stuff. My niece has taught herself manga skills from secretly watching you when she's supposed to be sleeping. Here's a challenge, not to see you fail, but because i need to learn it, can you draw an octopus

For "snoutal area" I would suggest "proboscis" or "muzzle." For humorous affect: "rostrum area," "rhinic region," or "rynchal district." Or just "schnozz." Great video, as always.

I use to draw a lot mostly random things but never much on realism. This was my 1st drawing in years gotta say it was helpful getting back into it I needed something with this instruction and detail. My rabbit came back fairly close to yours. For some reason it was the whiskers that got to me a little. Still happy with it. On to the next.
This was so educational and fun to watch. I actually have your book, The Realism Challenge, in a bin that I need to go through to organize, but it's really helpful. I like drawing animals and people, but I want to draw (and paint) realistic fantasy and horror art,and that's why I need lessons like yours on drawing real creatures. Thank you!
"Snoutal region". If there's one aspect of your videos I never get tired of(besides the drawings, of course), it's the made-up terminology! xD

Always a good laugh, and lots of learning. Thanks, Mark!
I had never drawn an animal like this before. A friend of mine in Africa caught 2 bunnies on his farm, and I wanted to draw one for him on a birthday card. He is an artist as well…and he loved the one I did, thanks to you.
The little cottontails like to sneak into our yard to nibble on the horses' alfalfa hay. I just love to watch them. Thank you for helping me draw these darling little creatures!
I'm so proud of my drawing! Thank you so much. You explain this very well.
Hi I'm a kid and my teacher loves rabbits so this Rlly helped I just used your basic shape but then just coloured it in but now I'm ssooooooo addicted to your vids
It's been years I left drawing for a while and couldn't find you again until now! I still have my drawing and love it. Thank you for teaching me how to draw. Even when I left drawing I remembered how to draw a rabbit from this.
Thank you so much Crilley! Mine turned out amazing! I wanted to maybe suggest that you do a watercolor tips video. It's winter and I want to go outside and paint the rain, but I'm not sure how to use the watercolor paints I plan to do it with. Plus, I've noticed you haven't done a video like that before and I bet people would love it.
One day you should really draw The old man time lapse, maybe in "how to draw older people" or something, I really want to know how you imagine him to look like.

Love your lessons Markcrilley. Keep it up. If you run out of idea, how about making some video of 1. How to set up accurate guideline when drawing. 2. How to (different popular anime characters) 3. How to improve lines ( line variation, messy lines)

A talent is something you are naturally good / better than others in. Drawing is easier if you have a bit of talent, but most of the learning process is dedicating your time to practice. If you draw everyday, and try to improve everyday, you'll be able to draw like Mark eventually. To be able to draw is mostly based on time and dedication, not talent. I think I draw OK now (after around 3 years of drawing pretty much everyday) but I was the worst back when I started. With or without talent, the learning process and the commitment is pretty much the same. If you are not willing to spend 3+ hours on a drawing, this isn't for you :P Sketching and quick drawings are there too, but they won't get you that far.

I can't, no. And though many people claim to have photographic memory, I suspect it is in fact a very rare ability.
If u want to smudge or blend without getting the oils on your fingers all over the page, try using a cotton swab (just a hack I found on tiktok that I have used and works really well)
