Doing my best to follow along would love some advice as the Measurements throw me off a bit as my paper a touch bigger than yours. Can you just eyeball the dimensions of the bed etc? Or if you were in my shoes what would you do?

Ya you can eyeball some the dimensions if you are just practicing.But if you'll draw a sketch for a client ,you should be more accurate. Wish you all the best.

This is an A4 size paper 8-1/4 x 11-3/4 inches. I think your sheet will be super big (A1).

I have homework to do same like this but I don't know how it's confusing
