With the Nintendo 3DS eshop going away by March of next year 2023, consumers have just a few short months to load up on any digital games they might want before the shop closes. But if you plan on picking up any physical 3DS games that may require updates from the eshop, you may want to snag those updates now in preparation since they're free to download, as long as you have the space on your 3DS to do so.

So I have a Japanese New 2DS. I was wondering if I can use the download play option on the menu to connect to my other 3DS for the update of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Most likely I could but wondered if you tried that before.

I haven’t. All my devices are NA only. It doesn’t hurt to give it a try though.

@@TheNintenNERD Update: I think it only works if the eShop is in the same region as the game. I used a homebrew app to get the game (but paid for on my other 3DS). Had no space for the transfer, and then later that means I have to rely on the same homebrew app for the update because it wasn't on there

Black female and a gamer when we getting married? 😍😍😍 love my 3ds play all the time peed off eshop closing prices for physical already going up I just bought radiant historia for 100+ few months ago and it’s now 300. I bought my first ever shin megami game apocalypse from eshop and loving it.

😆 I’ve had my 3DS a long time (upgraded from DS Lite). Haven’t played it too much since getting my Switch several years ago, but I’ve been wanting to get back to it lately.
