How to Download and Read FreeStyle Libre Reports
Are you reading your Freestyle Libre reports or leave that to your medical team? If you’re not downloading the report and reading it between doctor’s visits, you’re missing out on a (free) opportunity to dramatically improve your diabetes management.
In this video, I’ll show you how to read the Freestyle Libre blood sugar reports so that you, and your medical team, can make meaningful data-driven changes to your diabetes management.
I’ll cover the following 3 things in this video, how to download the Freestyle Libre reports, how to read them, and finally show you an example from one of the coaching clients I’ve worked with so you can see how much, and fast, you can see changes to your blood sugar readings when you start paying attention to the data.

This is an excellent video! So much value in this! First of all, amazing job done by your client! But Christel, your high level of expertise is evident and I am so glad we have such a knowledge coach in the diabetes KZread family! Well done both of you!

Thank you so much. I’m so proud of her and she’s still doing great. It’s one of those great examples of how knowledge can empower us to manage our diabetes to the best of our abilities. She just need to know where to look and what to look for
Great info! Thank you
AWESOME!!! I am a 72 year old "newbie" to CGMs (Freestyle Libre 3). I had no idea all that it could do--I didn't even know there was an online website for tracking purposes until watching this video! You explained everything so clearly and I learned so much! It is all starting to make sense to me and I have decided that I love my Libre 3! I have only used it for 4 days, but am "in range" 88 percent of the time. Now I know how to improve that! Thank you SO much!

Another informative, excellent video. Thank you!
Thank you again for this information. I’ve learned so much from you content in two weeks compared to what I’ve been doing the last couple of years, and I do mean years. Keep up the good work and thanks again. Bless

Thank you I found the video. I’ve been using the device for a couple of months, but I didn’t know several of the things you discussed in your videos.
Thanks so much for a great video. I didn't think about taking the printed data to the endocrinologist office and they charged me $30 for downloading the data from the reader. It will be different for the next visit, now that you have shown me how to do it myself. Great job and great channel. Thanks again.

They charged you $30 to print it? That’s ridiculous. They might charge you for “reading the report”, just something to be aware of
I am just getting started with using the Libre 3. Your video was very helpful and informative. I am looking forward to downloading and analyzing my data. Thank you very much for the video.

Thank you for this important information! As a new user (nearly six weeks) of the Freestyle Libre2 system I was pleased to see that I can download reports myself. Why isn't this mentioned anywhere? I'm using the app only (because I couldn't bought the reader anymore here in the Netherlands), maybe important to know, which I didn't realize, you'll have to use the same email address as you use within the app. Otherwise you can't see that data.

Glad it was helpful. And yes, that’s an important thing to add. Your account is linked to the email address so that’s what you have to use for both the app and the report

It’s called Glucose Variability in the report. If you look at @3:57 it’s right above the Ambulatory Glucose Report

Thank you for this information! I am new to the Freestyle Libre 3 and to diabetes itself and this is helpful. I do have one question. Is there any way to download the actual raw minute by minute data from libreview to analyze it myself? I'm a data nerd and would love to play with it.

You’re welcome. When you log into LibreView there’s an option to download your data (look in the upper right-hand corner) to excel. Hope that helps

@@DiabetesStrong Awesome! Just what I was looking for! Thank you!
What a great video!! Just to confirm, is there a way to manipulate the start date of the report? If we had to eliminate the first 12-24hour or is it just changing the end date that is possible?
@DiabetesStrong

I’ll have to go back and check if they’ve changed anything but I believe it’s only the date you can change
the drivers wont even download on my computer and I cant find anywhere that can fix that
Hello, thanks for this great video. My son of 6 is T1D and its been 3 months that we are using FreeStyle Libre sensors. Watching your video I wanted to download my sons LibreView report and when tried I found it was emty. I have some questions, to store my sons data in the cloud it is necesary to conect LibreLinkUp with LibreView? I dont want to share data with any doctor but I have to put a PracticeID? Its there any other way to save the data in a cloud and look at the reports?

If you’re using the app it should upload automatically. Also, make sure you’re using the same login as you are on the app. If you use the receiver you have to upload the receiver. It should allow you to choose the patient portal, not the medical one. I’m not sure you and I would be able to use the medical one as we don’t have a clinic code. But I haven’t tried
Got it, thanks. Just a side question: What if diabetics stopped eating carbohydrates in all forms and shapes entirely? What would happen to their BG levels? I've been 100% carnivore for 1.5 years, lost 45 kg, and got rid of RA. I consume high amounts of animal fat, and my 24 hour BG fluctuation is between 4.4 and 6.0, HbA1c is 5.1 I'm not sure whether it's fine either.

For some completely cutting out carbohydrates means less blood sugar fluctuations. If you’re insulin dependent it might reduce your mealtime insulin needs
does the libreview update once a mth? the last download with infor was April 10th. do i need to wait till May 10th to see an update on the info?

If you use the receiver you have to manually upload the device if you use the app on your phone it should do it continuously. I would try and reconnect your account and make sure that the connection hasn't been broken somehow
I use my Apple iPhone with my Freestyle Libre 2 sensor. How do I upload my data using an iPhone?
@DiabetesStrong
9 ай бұрын
It should upload automatically. If the data doesn’t show up, try checking you’ve linked the right account and if you can’t get that to work you can try using a cable for a manual upload

@@DK-pr9ny in the upper lefthand corner there's an image of a glucose report and right next to that of a Libre reader. Click on the reader and follow the prompts. I haven't tried it, but I believe that should do it
I see small icons for food on the reports. Are we supposed to log our food in the viewer somehow? I use a separate app to track food intake, but am not sure how that info gets into my Freestyle Libra Report. Maybe it doesn't, but perhaps some clarification on that. I am new to all of this... Thank you.

You don't have to. I find it helpful to have everything in the same place when analyzing my data, but only track it in the Libre if it makes life easier for you. It shouldn't add more work

Hello, I hope you are well, is it possible to change the Until of measurement, on the Libre 3 , I purchased mine from the UK and I think it is on Mmol/l .
@DiabetesStrong

I don't believe so. It gets approved for mmo/l outside of the US so that's the factory setting
I am having two questions about my Libre3 reports. On the AGP Report, the Time in Range is set at 70-180. When I go into Report Settings to Change it to 70-130 and save it, it stays at 70-180 in my reports. Also my Daily Log Reports, I do not understand the Max and Min values in the square box. Mine sometimes range from 130-55 and that is not what I observed when I was monitoring my iPhone readings the previous day.
@DiabetesStrong

I'm not sure the custom TIR can be transferred over to the report 🤔 Min and Max should be indicators of your outlier blood sugars. Could just be a single blood sugar that is that high or low
Hello its possible in settings to see only report specific sensor? Like in april I use 2 sensor bud I can see stats of full month, and I want only see stats of 2nd sensor. Please help

I don't love the LibreView reporting partially because of this issue. You can customize the end date, but I don't think you can set it to only show a specific timeframe
If I use the app on my phone will it still be able to upload the readings and daily logs to my account on Libre view?

Yes, as long as your phone is online it will upload your data to Libre View
Can anyone tell me what the gray areas on the graphs represent?? Thanks
@DiabetesStrong
Жыл бұрын
Do you mean the area around the line that shows your blood sugar average? That area shows how your blood sugars have fluctuated around the average. The darker area is the 25th to 75th Percentile and the lighter grey is the 5th to 95th Percentile. Simplified that means all of your blood sugar data is divided into quarters which can help you identify how your blood sugars fluctuate
Can you download from the app on your phone? I don't have the reader.
@DiabetesStrong

The app on your phone should automatically upload your readings to the reporting software. Just log in with the same login you use for the app

I always was look at my HBA1C% and doctors always ask me about it.. and it was always good between 5.8% and 6.2%. But I never think about the glucose variability😢 My blood sugar always go ups and down in a short period of time after each meal and i feel so tired after that and i feel my feet is burning.. then i search more bc i think i did something wrong while monitoring my blood sugar.. and i found that its not only about the hba1c% 😞
