12/26/2023 this works!!! Only problem that I came across was when I removed xlive and started program it calmed I needed xlive to start the progrom, after already deleting it all I did was undo from files and xlive came back…! Started GTA IV from files and work no problem at all!! Just pain close attention to your files and where they go..!!! Should work just fine and you should loaded straight into menu? Extra tip 10.7.0 I used Extra tip: My PC IS HAS A 4060rtx 16g and runs on I7-13700F Extra tips I bought a gta iv from steam No need to downgrade I could run straight off steam at high res also played a few missions( downgrading gta iv is up to you) ☺️☺️☺️🤑🤑🤑

Did work but in my case keeping the xlive file works But it keeps crashing?? And if i remove the xlive file then it gives an error

So I dowgraded the game and installed the mod, at first it worked fine but after I closed the game the next time I tried to launch it would crash on the loading screen. How can I fix this?

Joined your discord and im having an issue as well. Did everything correcly and kept xlive and removed dsound but when i load up the game LCPDFR isnt loading up just to go see roman. Am i supsed to do certain story mode missions first? Please respond im mad confused. Only person so far with a very good tutorial on this install.

Why my gta 4 crash after loading cut scene?

Doesn't work, the downgrader was updated to version 2.1 (so no more 1.7 download). Always says there is a hash error even though I've freshly downloaded GTA4 about 6 times now. Said fuck it and went through with it anyway, checked to see if LCPDFR was good using their tool, said there was no scripthook or asi loader even though there was. Thought maybe it's a bug, ran it anyway, crashes as soon as it starts to load the story. Seems like nothing works anymore.

I’m going to be dropping a fresh updated video regarding how to install and downgrade again and a better video overall but you should beable to select 1.7 if not then 2.1 should work but I’ve heard it’s buggy

Hey so when I finish dragging the files over and go to use the LCPDFR diagnostic tool it says “No installations have been found. Please use “Advanced mode” at the bottom of the dialogue to manually locate your game installation. What do I do?

Yes reinstall the game, and make sure you go into steam and you verify the games integrity

You should have had it from the start when you started the downgrade I would recommend a reinstall and make sure you delete every file within gta iv

You shouldn’t have to deactivate anything if you just follow the downgrader it should work perfectly fine, as long as your on the steam version

@Kevin_Knox I started with 1.1 but I recommend 1.0 just because it seems to be more stable some people say 1.1 is but at the same time people say it’s worst than 1.0

LCPDFR does not support Pirated, or cracked versions of the game.

@gec8297 to be honest the most recent video is had a downgrade and install LCPDFR for 2024 and the older videos are kind of outdated and some of the methods don’t work the same way which is why you’re probably getting one of the errors you are

Imma be honest there is a new video out this downgrader I used make sure you are using 1.7 considering the 2.0 or whatever new version is having problems downgrading, so make sure you have version 1.7 and make sure you have all the necessary stuff downloaded but when I looked that up everyone saying reinstall and there’s a few that have the dfa.dll but I’ve never gotten this message and I’ve never heard of someone getting this message so it’s very rare in my opinion’

Sometime before you downgrade it’s best if you run the game, are you launching it from the directory

@@ZivtinHD yes i verified the files also ran the game without lcpdfr wen i downgraded i opened it through the play gta in my directory but it worked good until i tried to install lcpdfr then it pretty much said fuck off so im at a mexican standoff with this because i followed every video on youtube and followed them to the t and still failed i am also using a asus rog ally but that shouldnt matter idk if im doing something wrong but iv tried like 15 videos regarding the lcpdfr
