I'm facing tons of issues on the Android 14 beta1 on my pixel 7. Finger print unlock doesn't work, apps crash home screen freezing home swipe doesn't work, and tons of bugs. Going back to stable Android 13 beta 🥲

Was revertiing to 13 from Beta 14 OTA and once it reset I got a white screen with "Google". I don't think 13 got totally installed. And device state is locked on Fastboot mode so its not letting me use the flash mode. Anyone have advice?

A helpfull tips. I not sure Google have fix their ADB & Fastboot or not. When I use ADB & Fastboot version 34.0.0, it fail to flash the Android 14 Developer Preview 1. I thought I do something wrong but luckly not. I was panic for in about half an hour because when I ask for sited person to see my screen, it just stuck at charging logo. Just an information, I'm a blind visually impaired person. To fix that problem, I use ADB & Fastboot version 33.0.3 (1 previous version from 34.0.0).

Android 14 destroyed my phone. Before it was 58/128 GB full, and now it's 112/128 GB. I can't access my files, photos, and videos, and i cant vieuw or download the photos and videos people send me. The only noticable changes are a theme app and the lock screen. I have an Oppo a57s.

Im doing this to allow me to use the OEM Unlocking option. Which is currently greyed out for me. Verizion pixel 6 andorid 14 october 5th update. So if I attempt this without OEM Unlcoking will it brick the device?

If you want to edit or modify files please don't got to Android 13 or 14 once you go you cannot modify files. For example if you want to modify any app's data you can't. You can modify any apps only way is root.

Hello and thanks a lot for your video! Is there a possebility to bring more apps "in the dark mode for thirdparty apps"? I only updated to Android 14 to wish the "beta mode of the feature gets alpha in color os. But nope, it even supports less apps than android 14:/ I know i can go to dev prefs to turn forcedark on but it is not really handy to do that after every restart.... Thanks a lot! Ringo

this depends on your ROM, they control more about reporting or forcing dark mode. Generally forcing dark mode can cause readability issues, so they will force it less if they can. If your app has a dark mode or setting for dark modd, or explicitly labeled as incompatible, then it will not work.

No this is not the case, you will continue to get any and all OTA updates if you accept them. The update is provided by the ROM you are running, doesn't matter if bootloader is locked.

I was able to downgrade from android 14 to 13. However, I'm unable to opt of android 14 beta program. Now my device is waiting to install android 14 back again...Pls help When i try to opt out of beta program it says "we could not remove the device at this time. pls try again later"

Beta is SHIT, crashes when I go into privacy settings. don't install 14 just yet.

It's currently just the developer preview. Not full release. This just gives devs time to update their apps. It won't be as stable since it is not at full release

Full release started rolling out and it's really buggy. I can't make or get calls after updating. My screen is white with no info on who is calling or a way to answer.

I have a Galaxy A14 Lte i upgraded to android 14 but I'm not noticing any bugs the only issue is that it has considerably worsen my battery life i used to get 7-8 hrs of battery life but now I'm barely getting 5 hrs + which is really annoying me but i can't really risk my device like this so I'm stuck with it

unrelated and you do not need to. it is not hard to opt out, the only thing is since your version is newer, you would have to wait to get any updates. you can revert by reinstalling windows using the "Upgrade" method on the installer.

simply opt out from the beta with one click then you get the latest stable version immediatly to download and install on the phone update section

beta users will get the stable android 14, the purpose of the beta is to test until it is stable enough to release the public android 14. you can roll back to android 13 stable and wait to get the stable 14.

if you haven't been able to sort this problem out yet it requires updating the USB driver. Just Google "Google USB driver", download and extract the files, then manually update the driver for the phone (in Device Management).
