This entire game takes no skill. Being good at aiming isn’t a skill. It’s what happens when losers live with mommy and play in aim labs all day. Play a game with real skill involved like league of legends or rocket league. Valorant is super fun until no lifers ruin it.

Suddenly being a bronze 3 player being queued with gold 1 players suddenly makes alot of sense.

its very demotivating to be in a higher rank and get put into lower ranked lobbies. They should always put you against your rank, not your mmr, and if you don't deserve to be in that rank then you will drop out.

@@Flora_of_the_Moon well that's what I'm saying, hidden mmr is detrimental to the game, and the amount of rr needed to rank up even once is criminal for how long each game is. Rocket league I think has one of the most balanced methods of ranking and riot should clue in

I was put at diamond, but the placement match really gaves me a very baad teammate putting me at silver, but i took 2-3 games on the next day, i got ranked up from S2 to Gold 3 in 3 games like WTF Riot, fix your matchmaking please

​@@taufiqg.a.3955 That just means youre hardly diamond at all. Diamond 1 0 RR peak doesn't mean you're on par with D3 to Ascendant queue. If you're consistently losing games, your MMR deflates. That means your MMR rank isn't diamond. What Riot rank system does with that is you get queue'd to a lower rank so they suit you to people of your similar level. Lemme guess, usually you lose -25 to -30 rr in each losing game right? That's called deflated/unhealthy MMR. That happens if you lose 70% comp games & go hardstuck

@@jsnagn3410 when i lose i usually lose 9-17 rr max, even if i took -25 to -30 that was because of the riot client went down and i can't relog like the other people in the same internet cafe But now it's more like Plat Hardstuck, i only reach diamond because i have the whole time in the world since in that time i just graduated and jobless, now since i just got hired, currently i just hit diamond 1 again since i managed to spare few times I only got mad because why is it always the muted guy or the e-daters or every other daily valorant player paired with me while the other team got the "i miss her" jett and all that god-like stuff But ofc i'll try be better instead of relying others in solo queue Edited : and yeah currently i matched up against Dia 2 - Ascendant 3 mostly i'm the Lowest rank between all of 'em. Bit of struggle as an initiator tho thanks to my backbencher duelist (you can check the detail at tracker.gg Dragooncrew#TGA13)

i get frustrated when silvers and golds get in my bronze games, but i always tell myself “if i cant beat them down here, than it means that im not ready to be up there

Valorants match making is the worst. Every time I play, as an ascendant 3 player, I always have teammates who feel like they dont deserve anything close to their current rank. While on the other hand, the enemy team always has good teamwork, knows how to trade, and overall understands how to play together. Nothing else irritates me more, than finishing a game searching my teammates stats, and seeing how their damage is BELOW 33% while the enemy teams stats are always above, and has a better hs percentage as well. Before anyone asks, my hs% is 32, my damage average is 162, and kd is 1.23

deathmatch doesn't affect rank nor does it affect MMR, MMR only gets affected in ranked games You wanna be in a game filled with dias and plats as a gold 1 player? drop 40 on your games, it'll be unavoidable win or lose

most of the times to double rank up you need to almost not lose, because of that most of the times you will double rank up at the start of the episode, when you got 50 RR so you need just 2 games to promote, so the MMR is working on playing tougether and wining, not just the KDA and score

Queuing against plats in bronze makes so much sense now. Maybe it's just my braindead teammates

Something a lot of people don't realise is that, including all the other games all the way to chess, the elo system is designed to give the most balanced of players a 50%/50% win rate. There will be games where you are destined to lose because the system determines it so. Rank ups occur when you managed to break through the barrier by winning all the games the system expects you to and winning a few that the system doesn't, so don't be discouraged when you are given a losing game.

yeah if you use vlr tracker for a long time you realize just how close to 50% of games you will win. And even if you win less than 50% you'll still probably rank up a decent amount because it is honestly harder/rarer to lose 30 than it is to double rank up lmao. Most of the time, playing in normal lobbies, winning 49% of games will still allow you to rank up. The game rewards you a lot more than it penalises you.

There is no reason why the game should give you a terrible team on purpose.If you are winning a lot and performing well then you obviously deserve a higher rank where eventually you will play against people with your same skill lvl

I swear to god I once solo queued ( I am plat 1 remember that cuz it's important) and got queued up against ascendants and I actually went like 17/12/5 (can't remember it exactly because it's from over 2 months ago) and I got like 14 rr

last week after playing the game for 7 months i double ranked up from silver 3 to gold 2 felt so happy

True. When I was on my grind of getting out of silver I found myself in a plat and gold lobby, said what the hell, then found myself in a plat diamond lobby and decided to call it a night 😂

@@FreshMarket0 believe me man it’s only silver. I got out of gold much faster. It does help to get a duo. There isn’t any shame in getting some help

the only time i get queued with very high ranks is when the opponents are queueing with ascendants and irons to lower the mmr

The problem with hidden mmr is since it is heavily performance based it can be easily manipulated... for example if I op crutch every round and save every time im the last one alive to keep my op, my KD will be higher than everyone else because I'm saving a lot and I'm using an easy weapon to get kills. I may lose the game, but my "performance" will be good so I get put in continually better lobbies. This player provides nothing to a team of higher ranked (or even lower ranked) players, and it's seemingly always these types of players that sneak their way into higher ranked lobbies than they belong.

@@crazygoosegaming2602 my brother in christ, it is clear you did not understand my point. Obviously, if a player can get 1-2 picks every single round while op'ing, it is valuable. However, this value diminishes if the rounds are being lost regardless. This is what we call "empty kills" or "stat padding" in which the way you play the game benefits your K/D rather than actually winning. If a player is able to save their weapon every single round, it is obvious they are not aggressive enough and any kills they get will be meaningless by the fact that the rest of their team fucking dead. 😂😂😂

I hate how the game can basically say “oh yea we realize you’re way better than your rank that’s why we’re putting you with diamond when your gold. You can’t have diamond for like a month tho”

For me it was basically like: “Oh you want to promote from p3 to d1? Sure, just make sure to win these next 2-3 games with half ascendant enemy teams, and maybe then you’ll deserve to be a diamond 1. Oh and if you lose - you don’t even deserve to be plat 3.”

I took a long ass break from Val and went from b2 to g2 with three double rankups in 8 games, I was fucking screaming like a monkey bro, my duo was having none of that

Makes sense now, I'm bronze and was getting queued with plat and gold players. One time there was a diamonds and I solo queue all the time.

Silver and bronze aren't that far apart. They can also easily queue together so you might just be playing against bronzes who are duoing with a silver.

I just got into silver. And I kept winning and top fragging. I was shocked why I was placed in the platinum lobby, the enemies were so good. I was kind of mad about it but I ended up being the game MVP so I didn't complain in the end. It was really a hard game

I have friends who are getting upset when we play against asc 1-3 people (we are diamond) and say it unfair. During this I'm happy like a kid bc i know it's a win win situation for us. Win? Lots of RR. Loss? Loose lett RR. It's awesome

You are the strongest iron player Matching against silver/gold means that the game thinks you are on par with them

You also lose less RR in these instances too. The game is essentially trying to correct your visible rank to correspond with your MMR by increasing your gains and reducing your losses.

Ah yes I love being gold going against immortals and gain 10 more rr. Phenomenal game design

double ranking only happens when your MMR is 3 ranks above what it currently is. Example: your current rank is gold 1, but your MMR is plat 1, double ranking to gold 3.

Happened to me recently when I got back into ranked after a long time not playing and got a 13-0

I have a friend that can't understand this principle and keeps annoying me like "why do I keep being queued with gold when I'm just barely silver 1, it makes me lose every game"

Game thought that I'm so good at being MVP on Ascendants that it made my real rank plat.

Went from bronze 1 to gold 2 in like 3 days, stuck at gold rn tho. Came back after a few months of not playing and had a bad day when grtting my rank

Really proud of myself because I started in iron from episode 1 and when I experienced this when I played on my first unranked account which I got retrieved from being hacked, I knew just how much I improved. I’ve still got a long way to go but I’m satisfied with being diamond 1 for now 😂

I like this because it means I get queued up with silver players when I’m iron 2 and get stomped. Very fun game 10/10

It works the opposite way too, if you lose with high mmr you'll lose more RR. For example I played a game, match mvp; lost the match and lost 25RR, the dude just below me had 1 less kill, 1 less plant and a few less assists. He lost 17.
