This build is a lot stronger if you buy a vanguard before the diffu so you can tank up a bit. People tend to underestimate AM early game because the meta is just rushing a battle fury which doesnt provide much fighting capabilities. But with Vanguard -> Diffu -> Manta build, you're stronk

Too much waste of gold, you want to speed the game up in your favor. By doing this youre just telling yourself I am not confident enough to use my skills to carry the game. Plus, that build you mentioned was more of an offlane build months ago. And since you arent a farming antimage, again you shouldnt be wasting gold.

​@PauIo001 No because you will get abyssal blade at some point anyway and this is fighting/ganking am build not farm 45min and join one team fight before enemies end your base.

@@roccatsenseful yes but that abyssal blade is later later in the game. You didnt understand the point. If you are confident enough and skilled enough, it is much better to build damage items and snowball the game. By building vanguard, you are just missing out on damage that you should be dealing. You arent the frontline, at this point your the damage dealer. You dont need sustain if you can finish them quickly

@@el33tkrew depends, honestly. But since it's mid AM, i'll assume that AM is lastpick in a free AM game situation, and in that case, you are correct that vanguard is a waste. Otherwise, vanguard is pretty good too, though situational.

Glad you asked! To be clear I'm not a pro dota 2 player and I'm playing in the Archon bracket but I've learned this build from a pro dota 2 player named Topson! So I believe it's all about practice and the right situation!

Well the lion cent and bounty are all crusaders in this match, so it would stomp with not meta items anyway.

Erhhhh.. before the patch that diffusal is adding to his mana burn in our braciet 50-100mmr we always do that.. so no biggie ^_^ because it is fun and cheaper than skadi

It’s seems like if you are capable to handle midlane against only 1 enemy, AM will reach his spike faster than going on carry lane against 2 enemies. But may be he is weak against range physical attacker like sniper on midlane.

Although medusa is now really strong due to the buff. Medusa has 95% magic resistance permanently as a hidden base stat. If you don't believe me load up a practice lobby, put 6 mana orbs in medusa's inventory, burn through all of medusas mana with anti mage and use antimages ultimate ability on medusa, she will barely take half her health in damage even though it should do more then ten times her health in damage

need a more relatable matchup, sky is basically an easy game to go as AM. maybe if you get vs viper or necro and show how to win would be better
