Harpic with a soft brush, tooth brush, or fine grade Scotchbrite, then a very good clean, rinse to get the acid off, dry, then Autosol and a clean cotton or lint free rag to get a mirror finish.

Prob no harm in using it to remove the initial layer of road crud, tar specs, and general light layer of tarnish, then get in with the scotch wheel and buffing wheel to bring it back ! Good video I'd be of a similar opinion, but will give it a go to get rid of the initial stuff to save the wheels 😂

Harpic contains Hydrocloric acid, can react with Stainless steels and make then crack, phosphoric acid and scotchbirite is better but will take time. Did my bandit pipes with this and buffed with white compound to a good shine. off course they when straw coloured on no time.

Stop this non sense with Harpic. Harpic contains chlorhydrique acid: it will destroy rust and stain and make the stainless steel LOOK good. But it's a really bad idea. It is also destroying the chromium particules in the stainless steel, converting it into a regular steel sponge on the surface. Everytime you apply Harpic you make things WORSE. The way to go is stainless steel specific acide or Nitric acid. This one will destroy rust or any feritic particules leaving a surface of Chromium oxide which is more resistant...
