How to Do Wing Chun Forward Energy without Forcing / Pushing

In this video, you get a glimpse into a private Wing Chun lesson where I discuss the concept of "forward energy" in Wing Chun. The focus is on understanding the difference between good Wing Chun forward energy and mere pushing or struggling with brute force.
Because in Wing Chun, brute force / struggling energy is the opposite of good Wing Chun energy, I begin by explaining the importance of the body's structure and solidity in connecting with forward energy to the opponent's center. I demonstrate that good Wing Chun forward energy is not about pushing, forcing or struggling through the opponent's energy but instead involves directing goof forward energy and pressure along a specific path. By aligning your pressure / forward intent / energy through a lane right next to their force, the Wing Chun practitioner can not only not force, they can alsp simultaneously deflect while attacking.
Throughout this Wing Chun forward energy lesson, I emphasize the significance of maintaining a stable spine, shoulders, and head for good root/structure.
I also show that the key to effective forward energy without forcing or struggling in Wing Chun lies in trusting the stability of your spine. As you grasp this concept, you discover how to exert Wing Chun energy / force efficiently and effortlessly.
In summary, this video on how to do Wing Chun energy teaches the fundamentals of using good forward energy in Wing Chun without brue force, emphasizing the significance of the spine as the core element for stability and leverage during combat. The lesson encourages confidence-building and an understanding of the unique mechanics that make Wing Chun such powerful and effective martial art.

How do you attach yourself to someone's centre? Does you just visualise and the body automatically does it ?

@@AK_UK_ it does start with the mind but it’s also a physical feeling. To be “a part of” is similar to the feeling of hugging someone you love. You aren’t forceful or hesitant. This is why what we do is more of a harmony with the other person rather than a fight against.
