Natural vocals or not, it’s genuinely impressive. We need more rappers to legitimately try new things and push the genre forward. This makes me very very happy. If y’all remember what it was like when One Night and Minnesota by Yachty dropped you know that he’s absolutely been a very influential artist. Weirdness is what we need to stay original!

it’s called an arpeggio in music theory. when the note changes pitch while it’s being sung. arpeggio translates to lean in italian. yachty gets it. also seen this in a previous vid, just relaying info
