    I need this man following me around, praising me every time I do something right. I don’t just mean exercises. Anything I do something of merit, like sit at my computer and sort through emails, “I want to hear ‘Perfect!’ and ‘Brilliant!’ from him! The positive power of praise embodied in his enthisiasm! 🙌💞

    I think it is a great explanation to how perform this exercise and it will be very useful to me on the next training session although I noticed that my legs are much longer than my body ( from ABS to neck ) and always that I perform this exercise( within others ) my legs pull me down to the floor and I did not find the way yet to keep my balance on. Hi 354, there are two options you can try: 1) Try much smaller turns and then gradually increase the range of movement as you get stronger. 2) You can try anchoring your feet (such as on the bottom of a sofa or bed) and as you get stronger slowly release your legs. Hope that helps and let us know how you get on!

    It seems that making it so your belly button moves is not exactly a conscious thing. See for me it seems my belly button always moves just a bit it’s sort of like as you move your torso the belly button moves along with it and there’s nothing you can do about that. I have been able to make only my shoulders move and my belly button moves just a tiny bit, but there is no way to keep my belly button completely in the middle unless I Keep my torso completely still

  • @GetExerciseConfident

    @GetExerciseConfident

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi Tempe - you are correct the belly button will move as you go side to side. However by focusing on trying to keep it pointing forwards (even though it will move), you will get much more core activation. So it sounds like you are doing it spot on!

    What I do not understand of this video is this obsession about a straight back. The function of the rectus abdominis is to bring the ribcage towards the pelvis and viceversa. Why does necessarily have to be straight? What if you got "tight hamstrings"? You would focus the whole time on the back when your goals is the abdomen instead.
