I just found this video and I cannot believe how it saved me! I have struggled for years trying to convert all kinds of stitching, crocheting, sewing, etc. to left-handed. Thank you so much - my blanket stitches look so much better, beside being easier!! 😃

I've always tried to avoid stitching by hand as much as possible because as a left hander it's incredibly frustrating as tutorials are overwhelmingly geared for right handers. I watched several YT videos for left handed blanket stitch and couldn't make any sense of what they were doing. Your approach made the most sense for me.

Thank you for the helpful demo. Is it more common to use embroidery floss instead of regular sewing thread for the blanket stitches? Because the blanket stitch reinforces the edge between two pieces of fabric, I suppose embroidery floss will work better.

I’ve only ever used embroidery floss… because it’s decorative, as well as strong.

I am left handed and I go left to right-not right to left
