Even with a successful post move (dropstep, pump fake) 2k will still give bigs a weak animation under the rim leading to a miss or body block, yet guards can finish through traffic with the layup stat alone #pRoPlAy

I’ve literally made 8 or 9 centers already and in my experience 92 standing dunk is where you want to be to almost guarantee a successful standing dunk each time. You’ll have to utilize the 3 P’s (post moves, pump fakes and positioning) but even with the ridiculously inconsistent latency from dunk to dunk the green window will almost always be large enough to green each time. I have bigs with standing dunk in the mid and low 80s as well and even though sometimes I get a good green window the drop off is huge.

Long as you have at least an 83 standing dunk you can go crazy. Dont sleep on wingspan and vertical. It makes a huge difference. I have. No post control on my glass and get tons of standing contacts no meter.

75 dunk not good enough to use meter for it with ?

the meter is their best weapon, just dont equip all the standing ones, just do the elites, slow ones because they’re easy to time and get blocked less often because they jump so fast! also i recommend having at least 83-86 driving dunk and u guys will discover the power of pre-timing a dunk meter on a cut or fastbreak (trigger the dunk meter before the pass gets to u but after it leaves the passer’s hand

there's a push ani (with elbow) so you get enough space to trigger standing dunk (with contact ani), since dropstep doesnt always create enough space. Other ani you can try are baseline half spin and hold the right stick which triggers standing dunk

The Meter after the Dropstep is OP

yes it could work on really good players ( with good latency) ...but as a general advice for common players, and players with huge delay, especially alongside these tips on the video (which are all pretty much basic), i don't think it's in line with it. And yes sometimes it's really big but it happens on times where you are open and right stick up could work anyway. So why take the risk of mistiming the meter if you can just hold right stick up.

@@nba2ktutes the meter is huge when open so latency isn’t an issue. it’s just knowing when you’ll get the big meter compared to the small one, which is simple.

2k tutes can you do a video on bank shots vs normal shots? I wonder if there is a difference in green window and so on

Can we get an updated video on this? Does height impact the green window? I’ve noticed my big man with a higher dunk has tiny windows compared to my guard

Shit I have 90 standing dunk, Gold rise up, and Gold dropstep. Even on animations that I don't get clearouts on the drop step I still standing dunk. I get alot of standing contacts off of pump fakes from drop steps etc under rim even on strong interior defenders

The dropstep to right is good for when you have height or strength mismatch on post scorer it’s free lay up

Maybe I'm missing the video, but what decreases the green window for standing dunks with the dunk meter? I had a build with Anchor on Silver with 82 Interior defense and I played against someone that kept greening standing dunks with 90 standing dunk where it was unstoppable. I have a build with 96 Interior Defense and have another build with Anchor HOF, just need to know which stat or badges that will at least shorten the standing dunk meter dunks to give myself a chance at competing against these types of bigmen

when they use the dunk meter if they get good positioning on u there’s nothing u can do ima inside big it gives us a fat green meter and ur js cooked after that

How do u get the standing dunk directly out of the drop step? Is there a certain thing u do cause every time I try to drop step under basketball I have to wait a little bit to dunk it with square or with right stick.

I do a drop step and right afterwards my player does a pump fake Soo after the the fake I hit Square and it does a standing dunk every time

After the dropstep if I don’t get the animation I do standing meter dunk and yam it on their head lol

My dude 7’3 90 strength 92 standing I can do standing dunks all day but never get the meter my rise up silver fast twitch gold

I’m a 7 foot Center and have 86 driving dunk , 92 Standing Dunk, 82 Vertical , Fast Twitch Gold, Gold Rise Up, Precision Dunker Hall of Fame & I obliterate players in the paint with Standing Dunk meter. After making 5 Centers this year playing with thresholds I highly recommend EVERYONE to use the dunk meter. Aggressively dunking activates Precision Dunker everytime as long as you are standing in the paint sweet spots. Your Driving Dunk is tied into Standing Dunk. Works everytime for me.

saying dont use the standing meter dunk is wild its literally so easy to use and pretty much guarantees you a bucket if ur under the basket....

I have a 73 or 74 standing dunk is that good enough to use the dunk meter for it? At least with takeover or some

love you tutes but you are sleeping on standing meter dunks. This is all i do in rec and i'm a 92 win%. i have a 7' with 90 standing dunk. As long as both feet are in the restricted circle its a meter dunk and 85% of time the meter is huge.

The builds fucking useless and it was my first one I made and spent all that time and money on it. It’s so annoying. Nobody is so slow that they take three seconds to move two feet. It’s so slow I can’t do the put back drill in the gym unless I correctly guess which side of the cone I have to go before it flashes up cos I need a running to have a chance lol it could perhaps be salvageable in red if I didn’t participate in offence apart from offer threes and screens at the top of the key, if I try to go in the paint and we miss I have to get back it’s a 4 on 5 for them. I have 93 rebound and 78 vert and he barely gets off the ground and takes ages to jump, it’s amazing how much pace and speed affect other stuff.

Did you just say if there’s a dominant big you can’t do standing dunks? What’s the point if I’m a dominant big and he’s a dominant big I should be able to catch him sleeping and still go up on him. This game is trash.

Try to use it when both of your feet are behind the arc in the paint, and maybe pump fake for a potential bite and way easier dunk.

So basically play real basketball.
