How to do Self MLD/Lymphatic Drainage Massage following Facelift
!!!Caution!!!
Never jump into doing a massage immediately after surgery. It's important you wait at least 2 - 3 weeks before you do any self massage after a facelift. Or get permission from either your surgeon or MLD therapist. You do NOT want to stretch the scar, or cause any stretching of the skin on your face or around your eyes if you've had upper and/or lower bleph.
It's important too that you use a VERY light touch, with little to no pressure at all. If in doubt, don't.

Three weeks following face lift and felt ready to massage, this was so helpful. My surgeon advised massaging but not given how. This is fantastic advice. 🤗🤗

Very helpful, very comprehensive. The best video! Thank you very much! I’m doing it for a couple of days and already all the swellings are getting better.
Thank you- just had a neck lift and swelling is driving me nuts. Your instructions and urge to be gentle are very helpful
My surgeon suggested lymphatic massage-at his office 4 for $500! Nope! From what I’m seeing this massage is straight forward and I can do myself.

It looks straightforward, but looks can be deceiving. You need to use a specific pressure and differing strokes so you're effectively accessing the lymphatics. It all comes down to whether you want an educated and knowledgeable specialist do your treatment which will directly benefit your recovery and ultimately the outcome of your procedure. Your surgeon recommended you have it done for a reason. Your surgery is only half of the surgical journey. A good recovery is equally as important. But, of course, its entirely your choice.
Can you show us a lym. massage after eyelid surgery?
Thank you so much for this ,I suffer from severe allergies and sinus This would help alot

I do have a question on the forehead at the end of eyebrows on both sides , I have a loose skin just like a blister ( I am in my 6week now ) do you think it will go if I continue doing massage? You can not see it but it feels like blister , can you help ? Thank you 🙏

Still the same, can you help?
Is the compression bandage good for helping with the lymphatic drainage? I’m three weeks today from my facelift and sides of my face and neck feels like concrete. My surgeon says it’s normal but it’s definitely uncomfortable and I’d like to speed it along if I can.

Yes, wearing compression will help, along with using some textured foam on the hard areas.

@@petraerving1854 thank you so much for your reply. How often should I do the lymphatic massage and how much pressure. I feel like I’m not applying enough. I have been walking and trying to make sure I don’t sit for long periods. My neck and behind my ears are still swollen and super hard. Again, with the lipo under my chin and facelift I was told all is progressing normally. It will be one month in a few days. I guess I just didn’t expose the hardness. Thank you again and thank you so much for this video. I felt some relief after doing it.

How many minutes do you spend going this, and how many times a day? Thanks
