Good video. I am doing my annual filter changes on my MZ Magnum. I have had mine since May 2020 and have loved how it is a work horse out on my Texas country land. All the best!

I was always taught to put some new oil on the oil filter seal. good video though thanks. Just got a bad boy avenger with the briggs motor.

Just a couple of tips from a former auto service technician. When putting on the oil filter coat the o-ring in fresh oil before putting it on as it helps the filter turn against the metal seating surface ensuring you get the seal properly compressed. Two if you tip the oil bottle so the poor air is at the top with the long angle facing down you can get all of the oil in without it dripping no funnel needed. Once again I love that the Bad Boy has that oil drain hose rather than the cheap plastic pull out tube like most chain store bought mowers have.

I have the 42" Rambler. 725cc Kohler. It probably uses a 13/16 like what you show here. stuffing a rag or towel behind the oil filter when removing is a good idea too. Thank you for showing us newbies the tricks of the trade.

Ahh, I remember changing the oil on my MZ48. Mine didnt come with the drain line tho. I just had a plug, so it was messy. haha. Great video buddy! Keep em comming!

Don’t forget to place a light coat of oil on that new filter gasket, otherwise that filter can be very, very hard to get off next oil change,

A funnel would help prevent spills.

Couple things. Manual says to fill the filter before putting it back on as well as oiling the seal. Did I miss that or is it not a thing?

It’s a thing... Probably not mandatory, but I do put some in the filter. Im sure it’s hard to fill up too much when the oil filter is screwed on horizontally. Just be careful not to overfill or under-fill your oil by too much.

Please show how to grease the pump belt tensioner fitting on this mower. No one does, and I can't get on it!

You probably know by now, but the hydro is sealed on the Magnum.

BAD BOY ??? I thought you only used a JD, that's what is in all the other video's I watch.

I watched another Bad Boy oil changing video with a Kohler 7000 Series 725cc 25hp. He used a 7/8 & 3/4. Was hoping they would all be the same size, but evidently, they aren't.

How to do "an" oil change. Proper English grammar.
