Looks great! Beautiful job done! I’m with you. I love wearing make up and I’ll be 100 doing so. My mom passed at 93 years old and wore make up everyday. . She wore lipstick, eyebrow pencil, face powder & blush. Moms hair was wavy and she would have her hair done biweekly at the beauty salon. She believed a woman wasn’t done unless her hair was fixed and make up applied. I will follow in her footsteps. ❤️

Oppps can't afford to do my hair bi-weekly, every 90 days and it's not cheap, but makeup I love 👍 and sometimes I do give my face a break n let breath...I'm ok with it...but ty

My mom just passed at 94. Mys sis took her for shampoo and set every Friday, with a perm every 4 months or so. She too,believed and wore her makeup everyday, just like yours. did. I sure miss her! I, too, follow in her footsteps (without the perms, tho!) ;) 😉 😮‍💨 💔

I am so happy to see someone else that likes Clinique. Their products are the only ones that work without irritating my sensitive skin and eyes. I am 68.

Thanks. I've never had to stretch my lid. I just make sure the eyeliner is soft enough to spread easily on the lid.

The fact is so many women have skin that is covered with age spots, melasma, broken veins, etc, so no foundation for many isn't going to work. Now they could get IPL laser treatments, deep acid peels, and other lasers to clear up their skin tone. Also not everyone can afford plastic surgery, botox, fillers, CO2 laser, and upper and lower eye lifts. Best Wishes

I'm 70 and have to admit I never thought of going without foundation. My skin isn't pretty like yours (probably from 50 years of wearing foundation, lol) but I'm going to try it. Years ago I used those very Clinique skin products. No idea why I switched away from them - probably following a new trend - and I think I'll give them another go. I'm like you with the lip situation only I have even less lip than you and I realized several years back that my lips look good only in a lighter colored gloss too. Thanks for including the links to the products. I'm going to do some online shopping~ BTW, new subbie and a big thumbs up!

I think you’re humble regarding the camera making your skin look better… You don’t have saggy skin and wrinkles are not detected. But you’re being humble is also very attractive. I agree with the lady regarding the eyeliner… Mainly the bottom liner… Try using very little under the eyes and then smudge it, so there’s not a definite line. Also, try with eyeshadow to give a softer look. You are a beautiful lady and I can tell by your video that you’re very sweet as well.

Thank you for your comment. I do listen! This video was filmed 2 years ago and if you look at my more recent videos you will see that I lightened up on the eyeliner and usually wear red lipstick.

I wear darker lipstick sometimes but with my thin lips, I'm trying to wear the lighter shiny colors to make my lips look somewhat bigger. Great application strategy. Less is more. I just turned 80 and had a severe untended health related weight loss which accentuates my wrinkles. I wear less makeup now (I was a product of the 60's modeling, and TV (looked gorgeous) but now I need to add more skin care products as well as a new makeup plan. I need something to plump my lips, face and body now. Searching u-tube for some answers. You have been a big help. You look beautiful by the way.

Thank you so very much. I have always been eye makeup only for 40+ years. I have watched so many videos & stuff that recommend eye shadow base & I have tried 20+ different brands to no avail. My space between my eyebrows & eyelids still wipes it off no matter what. Your just eyeliner look may work. I really appreciate this. My skincare routine is to wash with ivory bar soap & estriol cream for moisturizer. I kiss it too.

I used to spend an hour doing my makeup and a half hour doing my hair! However, I’m now going with the much more simple style. And it really saves time and money.

I just came across your video. I am 66 and agree with everything you said about wearing too much makeup. I watch videos on KZread and I am amazed at how much product some women put in their faces. I feel less is more. Too much does show all my happy lines. Lol you look beautiful.

Sandy. Where are your wrinkles and puppet lines?? You have no noticeable jowls. And no sag under your chin. You've had no work done. Botox??? Can't believe you don't need any concealer. You're 70??? I'm 68 and I have alot more lines to hide than you do

It’s not for everyone, but if you have nice skin, there is no reason to pile make up on it once we are older, in my opinion.

Your pretty blue eyes stand out with the eyeliner. Maybelline user here too... it really is the best mascara.

I have found that brown eyeliner show up blue eyes best.

Great technique and fast … I’m 86 and I would use a light taupe eyeshadow to bring out my hooded eyes…

I only wear foundation when I go out for the evening! Just blush and lip for everyday! I use a little deeper eye and lip for the evening.

You look fantastic. I too put on my makeup every day whether I'm going out or not. I don't feel dressed without it. I can't imagine not using a foundation, though. You also didn't mention concealer. I love learning new ways to do things, even at my age.

I'm 78 years young and like you, I don't wear foundation. My route is very similar to yours except that I don't put on liner on my bottom lid. Upper lid only. Bottom lid gets mascara only.

Yes I’m the same but older at 86 but still wouldn’t go out without makeup, I’ve tried a lot I do like Clinique products for my eyes.

Everyone's skin is different. We need to do what is best for us. For me, powder makes my lines disappear. Foundation brings them out.

Hello Sandy! I've just discovered your channel and love it. I'm a 73 year old makeup lover, but have really cut back on the amount of products. I also hate wearing foundation because I think it makes me look older! I've discovered tinted sunscreens that dry down to look like a light matte foundation and that's what I use. Do you find that the powder defines lines and wrinkles? I think I'll try that for evening. I don't use Clinique because I'm dedicated to cruelty-free products, but back in the early 70s I loved it. I remember purchasing the entire system (soap, clarifying lotion, moisturizer) for $70 and I thought that was a fortune! I will admit that my skincare routine is a bit. more involved than yours. I love serums and masks and use them regularly. I'm also hoping to move into a retirement all-inclusive apartment complex in the next few years and you are such a great inspiration to do that!

I found that the only powder that does not define my wrinkles is the Clinque translucent loose powder. There may be others but I don't know about them.

@@SandyOver70 I use Covergirl Simply Ageless Instant Wrinkle Blurring Powder. It's in a compact, and I use a brush. It has vitamin C and hyaluronic acid in it. It's lovely!

I am 70 years old and your skin care regime is too involved for me! I use Witch Hazel to tone my skin, then put on Olay Luminous Whip which has an SPF of 25. Eyebrow pencil is in the shade Audrey from Thrive Causemetics. My mascara is black waterproof from Almay as I have allergies. Never have worn eyeliner! The only blush that will stay on my face is Estee Lauder! My lipsticks vary, but I have gone to lighter shades of matte. No powder, as it settles in the creases. Easy Peasy for me, and I get compliments!

I'm surprised how that works for you! You have great skin. It would never work for me. I gave up on powder 2 yrs ago, only use cream blush and just a little pressed powder around my nose & mouth, but you have the right idea, more is less. I'd work on that lip stick. maybe just a shade darker or just gloss. You have to do some playing around to get it right when your over 70. And bravo to your friend for telling you the truth.

Funny that I ran across this. I got a call earlier from my brother who asked me to go to lunch and gave me 10 minutes to get dressed never imagining I would actually be ready. Jumped in shower, quick shower, threw on jeans and tshirt, no makeup and good to go. I hate makeup.

What a lovely result! 66 y o and I have never really worn foundation. Whenever I did I looked like a drag queen - yuck. I use Cetaphil sensitive cleanser, QV face moisturiser, a bit of blush, mascara and lippy. That's it. It's such a shame that women are bullied by cosmetic companies from an early age to cake their faces with products. I feel sorry for men who meet a gorgeous woman all made up only to see how she really looks the next morning 😨. With me it's what you see is what you get. I have lovely smooth skin, unlike my mother who smoked and had an elephant hide complexion. As a nurse still working I often have women younger than me saying " wait until you get to my age..." and I just smile and feel happy. Tip - your best beauty product is a sincere, heartfelt smile.💖

@@AntyTiff Good for you! I started taking care of my skin in my 20s and it has paid off. I have not used tinted moisturizers but it sounds like a good idea and most likely would not crease. If you try it, let us know your opinion.

Fortunately for me I've always had nice skin, and still do at age 70. I'm sure part of it's heredity, but I attribute it partly to always keeping it clean. Years ago I used Ivory soap, and now there are more pure choices. There are also great and economical choices for moisturizers - I've had very good luck with Global Beauty, etc. serums from Dollar Tree!

I use eyelash primer first

My naturopath told me not to put anything on my skin that I would not be willing to eat. It's because when you put something on your skin, you are actually eating it. Cosmetics are full of chemicals. I wonder if any of them are toxic?
