  • @FangGourmetTea

    Listening to a calm music help to clam our mind. Compared to the painting and music, while we appreciate the painting with our eyes and enjoy the music with our ears, through the Tao of tea, the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and consciousness are all simultaneously engaged. If you bring your consciousness, your awareness to tea, it becomes more than just an art or entertainment. When a tea master brews tea at a peaceful and tranquil setting, while he/she drinks and appreciates the tea slowly, the spiritual activity is like “heart sits in meditation and becomes unaware of this world” of which the spiritual state is even more profound and extensive.

  • @bernyplays

    It is similar to a first rinse. The tea leaves are rinsed and cleaned with a first round of warm water.

    Rinsing tea also helps to "wake up" the tea leaves and prepare them to release more flavor.

    The moment you brew the tea after warming the cups is titled "First brew". Does it imply that the same leaves are brewn several times?

  • @FangGourmetTea

    @FangGourmetTea

    Yes, good-quality Chinese teas can be brewed at least 5 times. High Mountain Oolong tea can be brewed about 6-8 times; Puerh can be brewed about 10+ times. You will find each cup of tea taste slightly different in its flavor and aroma.
