Definitely a lot of methods to cutting long hair on top. Especially when it comes to creating a certain style like a slick back or a crop for example. Creating a profile section in the middle from the top will allow you to break it down and make it easier to cut even and stay organized.

Is it possible to do a midfade with long hair on top, like 2 to 3 inches on top. But without using the clipper over comb method, just the clipper and guards. If so, can you demonstrate, please? I cut my own hair, and I'm trying to let the top grow longer, but I don't think I'll be able to do the clipper over comb method on myself. Also, I have really straight coarse hair like asian people people, but I'm not asian I'm Hispanic, lol. Great videos, by the way.

A good tip for cutting your own hair is using a high guard, probably a #4 or #3 will work best going up to the crown and scooping out once you get to the long hair on top and you can skip using the clipper over comb. Hope this works for you! 👑
