How to do a Russian split on aerial hoop / Lyra with a fun exit

This is a great aerial hoop split that looks very visual and beautiful. You need to have a strong hand grip and should have worked a bit on your skin the cat.
I also added one of my favorite exits and entrances into the split
Try it in a Lyra routine to add some drama and flow.
If your strength is still in the making, that's ok.
Download my Lyra Conditioning ebook from my website below to strengthen your inverts both on and off the hoop and you'll get there. Enjoy the journey of developing your hoop repertoire, because it is an adventure every step of the way!

Thank you for this vid! The tip about the leg placement closer to the other leg was exactly what I needed to feel secure and not slip sideways!

I love the hanging split exit, much more interesting than going back the way you enter plus I was always worried the hoop swinging back and clocking the back o my head

I can't seem to get the front leg even with the back leg. I am at a 30 degree angle with my back leg higher than the front. Any tips on how to get them level? Am I shifting my weight wrong?

I would almost need to see a video or picture of your split- you can DM it on Instagram. Often it is mobility, that you have to, with active strength, push your back leg down to get it in a split. In the beginning it often ends up pointing upwards instead of bering a split. Another thing can be that you have to push your entire hip more up so it gets a straighter split line🤔🤩

Beautiful, thank you :) It's really hard for me to pull my hips up when I'm in the split, any tips?

It is also active flexibility. Work your active splits and push your hips up 🥰
