    Curious why you didn't reupholster the seats with all-new foam instead of keeping the old foam that looks pretty worn out? Is it your standard practice to always use the existing foam?

  • @oldschoolautoupholstery

    @oldschoolautoupholstery

    Жыл бұрын

    Hello Star, It is very rare that foam has to be replaced. You will know when it needs to be replaced when it goes to what I call "Crackers" when the foam dries out and crumbles. Sometimes the worst of a condition is if a hole has been formed, then I would cut out what is bad and replace the worn area with new foam. If the foam is in good condition like this one, there is nothing to do to it. No need to fix something that isn't broken. Of course, if the customer paid for new replacement foam he would get it. Hello ABC, I think any sewing machine with a walking foot, reverse and a welt foot will get you by! Please keep liking and watching!

    He did a video on the details of his Juki. I had to go see if my 1959 Pfaff had a walking foot, and it does not. Good luck. His machine also had a control you could tap with your knee for reverse. And that huge table helps too.

    Hello Reality, Pricing will depend greatly on what the upholsterer in any certain area of the country wants to charge you. Also, based on how much you want to do, the design of the item and the type and cost of the materials selected. Thanks for watching!

    I think the customer is too big for the Vette.
