Turn your car off. Remove key from ignition. Remove all USB cables. Open drivers door all the way for 5 minutes. This resets it and you’ll be able to delete devices. No lie.

Thanks before I left the door open for 5 minutes but didn’t remove the usb devices and it didn’t work. I removed all the usb devices and left the drivers door open for 5 minutes the second time and it worked. Thanks again.

I have 2 phones that show up on my silverado and the video above looks the same as what I have. The only problem is my old phone does not have the "X" option next to it. Only my new phone has the "X". How do I cancel the old Samsung phone?

would this work for a 2014 Chevy impala?

After a fresh review of the video, it shows how to disconnect a paired phone, but does not show how to delete the device from the system's memory. We will revise the video headline and work on providing a new video detailing the device removal process.

Vehicles equipped with Mylink would follow the same procedures to disconnect a pairing session on a specific device.

instead of just hitting the "delete" key, press and HOLD it for a few seconds and it should delete the device. If that doesn't work, park the vehicle in a safe place, shut off engine, remove key from the ignition and all USB cables. Now open and leave the driver's side door wide open for 5 minutes...this resets the system believe it or not!! When the time is up, power up the vehicle, turn on the radio and proceed to delete the paired devices, enjoy.
