Ahhhh thank you. I didn't realize there was a shuttle that it clipped into. I've had my garage not working for the last month and a half until I found this. Thanks!

@trevdavis did you have to move the chain with the shuttle back into place or was it already close to where it needed to be? my shuttle is way off close to the motor unit. cant seem to budge the chain closer to to door to get the shuttle re-aligned with the mechanism.

@@gavinknott1677 it was way off.. I had to use the remote to move the shuttle to about halfway. I then manually opened the garage door and lined up the clip to the shuttle. I hope this helps??

@@trevdavies yeah iv managed to just get mine to about half way but with the garage door fully open and the mechanism close but not close enough. about 3.5 /4 inches off. cant seem to get it to move any closer with remote or by hand. struggling. thanks for the reply.

Good video but if garage is detached with no other method of entry. How do you get in from the outside to do this? Can’t gain entry to pull on toggle! ?

Justin taffe ye my thoughts exactly I was thinking of fitting the garage door to an electric system trouble is the only the one entrance and the consumer unit is in the garage

We have reconnected to the mechanism and the door closes, but then it half opens again and stops, how do I correct this?

Please did you manage to sort this... Have one of a pair which is acting up - if engaged and operated by remote door opens 1/4 way then shuts again, (further: op manual has vanished and lights on both units are kaput).

Raises at least two questions that could have been explained within the video, it seems to me. 1. The business of if the door is closed when the emergency opening is released then it will lock once re-engaged, versus if the door is open when it is released then it will remain unlocked .... well, both actions and positions in respect of the door looked the same to me! The only difference was the 'open / unlock' demonstration seemed to stop just ever so short of shutting the door by about 2mm or something. Sounds hit and miss to me, or whatever point you were trying to make didn't come across. 2. What are these mysterious problems that will arise if the emergency release mechanism is not re-engaged with the door in exactly the same position as when it was dis-engaged? Difference in position is surely inevitable, or at least highly likely, if the release is activated via an outside keyhole pull in the case of no internal personnel door?

Just got a new home with one of these doors fitted it’s noisy cheap let’s in drafts and is insecure if you don’t physically lock it you can just force it up. Useless get a roller door instead.
