you can go in the settings in the app and tap discontinue use at the bottom, then go to battery settings, add it to deep sleeping. That's about all u can do

I tried everything. You can't Uninstall or disable this built in app that comes with the phone.

This does not work, I have a Samsung S22+ Not only doesn't give you the ability to Uninstall it, it activate itself and takes control when I use google or when I am texting or making a call, pretty much anything I do, I tried to force stop, but it turns itself back on and trys to take control again

Thanks for the tip! You (maybe it changed) don't have to click the 3 dots a second time. As soon as you go to apps, right at the top there's a tab to select default apps. Go there... Pick something!

I've done this twice! Picked Chrome, but doesn't change a thing!

My phone in that app does not have the uninstall button.

This DOESN'T WORK!

Version 20.0.3.10 removed the Uninstaller button. The force stop button is only good for a few hours.

All it says is disable and its blank

They are using a phone emulator on a PC. Which likely means it's emulating a rooted Samsung phone. Not an un-rooted phone. Anytime you see a cursor like that 9/10 it's an emulator and the tips will never help.

@@FoxyTechTips either way the phone has to be rooted. As you can see by your comments the tutorial doesn't work and that's because most people's phones are un-rooted.

By the comments here, I think that the uninstall option and disable option is available in newer phones, because it worked in my phone. I'm now using chrome to access websites, and I'm more used to chrome than Samsung internet

I got my new phone & I kept declining the option to install. It automatically installed. I have done everything to put it to sleep or Uninstall.........it NEVER goes away......... I think it is bull#$it.

followed directions , i have samsung 21 and and final step the uninstall app option was not present - but I did have a discontinue option - lets hope that works, because the pop up adds are unrelenting and makes internet use with phone unusable !!!!

The title is misleading. This shows how to disable or remove the app. I wanted to know how to disable the Samsung internet which is what the title says

I called Samsung tech and they hid it but it popped back up within an hour. It's almost like a worm! No matter what you do it's still there. You can't delete it, you can't force stop it! What the heck?!

No joke this did not help. I don't know what kind of android this lady is using, but I have Samsung s10 + android phone. There were no option for uninstall and the option to disable was blocked. So either this video is a rip off or Samsung internet sucks that bad.

@@yannisk2903 I got it to stop by going into app settings disable all permissions and the appear on top setting , and blocked all notifications from the app

That's stupid. Everyone knows how to do that. How do you unistall when it doesn't show that nor disable option.

well this didn't work no uninstall opp. and it keeps opening up right when I'm in the middle of something by its self. I don't know when this piece of crap got on my phone maybe on one of there updates but I want it off. its a piece of crap. If i cant get it off I will have to but a new phone and it wont be a samsung!

I agree with u,l hate that Samsung icon that floats all over the screen and takes over and if u touch it brings up stupid adds.The only way to fix it like u said is get rid of samsung phone

No, you CAN'T change the default. There's no place to do that. And, for example, every time I click on a link to the internet in, say, an email, up comes a screen "inviting"....no, more like FORCING me to open Samsung Internet. I can't close that screen or bypass it....I MUST click on "CONTINUE" thereby activating Samsung's Internet app, instead of my desired Chrome. This sucks!

Has anyone actually found an effective way to completely uninstall or at least disabled the Samsung internet anymore I'm sorry it's all run together I'm speaking on my phone but we're kind of Lucky it's getting this because usually it doesn't even recognize me but it recognize a fucking dog any other room barking and it literally picks up bark bark bark bark bark bark but it's impossible I'd rather be kicked in the balls all day then fucking talk to my phone cuz it never picks me up but pick up my buddy sitting next to me

Hold on samsung internet app, click info then default browser app then change default brower to chrome or firefox or any other yiu have installed.
