How to Diagnose & Fix a 12 Volt Air Compressor / Air Inflator

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

How to Diagnose and Repair a 12 Volt Air Compressor / Air Inflator. If your compressor is not burned up these can be fairly simple to fix. I will show you how to analyze the problem and then how to make the repair.
These little compressors can come in handy if you get a flat tire, need to pump up something or, in the case of this air inflator, need a trouble light.

Thank you, I needed to discern which wire was positive and which one was negative and this video did the trick for me so that I could rewire my little tire inflator.

Thank you so much for showing where it was problem and fuse is intact but I do not have welder and I got hot wire came off from the end of fuse and it is not the case of cold wire came off BUT I tried to hook hot wire underneath then cold wire came off either by accident. Because I do not have welder then I tripped main wires more exposing electrical wires longer in order to twist around where they were and using electrical tape secured both cold wire and hot wire at the of fuse tube. After I installed everything then I taped black electrical tape more rounds around main wires with the plug . Thank you for opening the plug that helping solved problem and my air compressor is aliveeeee !.

Hello, I am using motomaster tire inflator. While I was filling the 2nd tire, a internal fuse was blown up from the inflator and dropped on the ground. I filled out all four tires one after another. It didn't stop working. Out of my curiosity, i was searching in the google for more information, but I didn't get the answer i am looking for. My question: Is it ok to continue using this inflator or i should replace the fuse?

You should replace the fuse. The fuse is a circuit breaker.... it prevents a surge of electricity to the conpressor

My inflator is blowing fuse each time it's turned on. What could be the reason?

Sounds like a short in one of the wires grounding it out and blowing a fuse

Look for a wire that is scraped bare or cut Or a loose connection
