Hello Sidd!! How does our friend circle or the people around us determine our thinking ability? Have heard it that if you wanna succeed, be around with successful people.. does the group we roam with change our attitudes towards things?

Yes our environment influences our perspective. This includes our friends, the books we read, the movies we see. This changes our decision making.

That's not what critical thinking is. It certainly isn't the 'explain like I am five'. Many comcepts are complex and too much is lost in giving a simple and easy to understand idea about them to simple minded laymen. Critical thinking is about not taking anything at face value and memorising it as it is. It is about engaging with the subject matter meaningfully and giving it due context. If it's an argument or theory, you must poke holes in its logic. It is neither easy nor simple, and it takes considerable mental resources. I suggest actually reading about critical thinking from the many online education platforms that are written by experts in the field of critical analysis.

Critical thinking: it’s about getting to the point as quickly as possible. It’s about cutting the noise out and understanding the core of the new information. Cross referencing for critical thinking: use different resources when understanding something, so that you understand it’s different viewpoints. Everything is connected. Stop thinking linearly. Try connecting everything.
