not sure about this, has anyone tested? i know this statement come from this video but because some synch move has physical icon which mean use its attack and same as special.

I think most uses S.ATK, houndoom is OP because it's Snarl could lowers enemy S.ATK, you'll see enemy sync move deals super low damage after you debuffs it too much.

The move is set to whichever base stat is highest, so boosting Physical attack on a Special Attacker would still use a special sync move. At least I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

Just do exactly as the thumbnail suggests: screw strategy, choose teams based off of waifus.

Rosa is by far my most useful character. I've become so used to being able to refill the energy bar that I feel so underpowered when I don't have her. I really wish I had evolved Servine instead of Barry's Prinplup

I find that Barry is a surprisingly good striker too. His Bubble is the first move you get that hits every Pokémon on the other side of the field. I’ve found him amazingly useful in going through the story.

yah Treecko just now is ridiculously powerful - I can't imagine how broken it is when it gets the stats of a fully evolved pokemon like Serperior.... however I'm pretty sure the game is gonna be heavily balanced and pokemon stats are gonna be altered majorly as they eventually ad in more completely evolutions and stages to potentially evolving pokemon - I could imagine *Grant's Amaura -> Aurorus* coming to the game at some point along with *Brendan's Treecko -> Sceptile* and perhaps something like *Clay's Palpitoad -> Seismotoad*

I believe you forgot to bring up the (IMO) best part of Lucario. When you use his Sync Move and he Mega Evolves, Vacuum Wave changes into Power-Up Punch which lets you stack infinite attack buffs on him if the fight is running long. Getting even one of those off and then using Close Combat demolishes anything in front of him even without type advantage.

Tbh i find the Pokemon Master mechanics really good, it's a brand new fresh way to play a turn based game like pokémon, but still feels like Pokémon

im Using 2 Supports and 1 Striker which are Cheren - Scoutland - For Movement/action bar refill + Regen HP every attack Olivia - Lycanroc - For the heavy damage dealer Skyla - Swanna - For Def buff and Speed buff so my action bar can fill faster and also healing, she is amazing I'm able to clear every content available right now except the CO-OP, it's been working really well i'd say

He spent a while on the fact sync moves remove your buffs but I'm just put here using mega pinsir

I personally like to set up for quick and fast nuking, and depending on the situation I will focus on the outside first before focusing on the middle. The reasoning behind that is sure, they don't hit as hard, but they also don't take nearly as much damage to wipe out. Experience from several other games teaches to take out the weaker things first to minimize damage quickly and effectively.

One of my favorite sync pairs I've unlocked so far is Cheryl and Blissey. Huge health, X Sp. Atk. all, a healing move that also boosts defenses, and a 2-bar attack that hits all 3 opponents.

Everything he said is true, and very effective. Before watching this I’ve been using all the characters he stated, and they’ve carried me to chapter 10 (so far). Also, if you are new to the game I recommend Liza, just because of her buffs. Olivia’s good (forgot if he said that), Whitney’s not bad for early game etc etc.

Since we also got early access (because we're in Canada), a friend and I both came to the conclusion that running two supports is a consistently good strategy. Especially in boss fights, I try for the "wipe out the enemy sync move user before they can pull off their sync move" strategy. Edit, for Josh: My favourite Support has been Liza & Lunatone. She has two buff-the-whole-team moves that, together, raise nearly all the team's stats.

@@aceweavile1079 well, lt surge is kinda known for being big bad raichu man, but the mc has pikachu so it's understandable i guess (unless pikachu will never evolve, then it's kinda bs), winnona has pelipper..? i don't even remember her using one, but her (mega) altaria always stood out so it's odd, clay not having excadrill irks me, and while i have no problems with it really, the gen2 kids i've always seen as gold cyndaquil/silver totodile/kris chikorita, but that's probably because of pokemon adventures edit: OH YEAH GRANT AND RAMOS, i guess amaura isn't that bad, but i think everyones just seen it as tyrunt is his ace, and why does ramos have a weepinbell!! give him his gogoat :(

My team comp is Protag, Rosa and Barry (Sometimes swap Barry with Drake) Basically Rush Rush Rush till the enemy dies 😁

I just wanna play with Red, Misty and Brock. To me, that's pokemon. Those three are the most iconic characters from the games. (Granted Misty and Brock do get most popularity from the anime) a team of them is a concept I just find cool.

Nightwing- Brawl Stars He should be worth more than 3 stars

Brendan is literally the only character I want in the gacha but I'm thankful to have Phoebe at most. As for my usual team, I just run rampant with Skyla, Rosa and Pryce; his Dewgong is an AoE monster

I finished the story with LV 70 Serperior, Pikachu and Lucario so i dont think META is a thing since we cant PVP yet. There is no 'wasting' resource in this game as there is no stamina so everything can be infinitely farmed

I'm personally a fan of Kahili and Toucannon. Beak breaks counter can come in handy if it's the strongest cause of it's burn. Peck is fast and great for chippj g health if the opponents have that miracle pixel. She has a self atk buff, plus a guaranteed crit buff. Which also lets her sync move do around 2000 damage when the atk is buffed

I have found that the best strategy is to crush the flanks then 3 v 1 the center in non co-op battles.

I've gotten Olivia from the gatcha 3 times now, one of my favorite characters and so is Lycanroc Midnight Form. Did not hesitate to buff her up asap!

for some reason Lockstin explaining games makes me want to buy them.

Been using Gardenia/Roserade with Rosa/Skyla assists for most of the play ... Reversing debuffs into big comeback damage has been surprisingly effective so far... Her Auto AI sucks tho...

I'm only halfway through the video and i don't know if he's mentioned it but: grind out the new supercourses every time they cme out, even if you can only take down the hard or normal levels, they usually give you a considerable amount of training resources. up to 3x the regular ones give you sometimes.

I don't have many good Pokemon/Trainers yet, but I love having Rosa, Pikachu and Piplup. Rosa powers up Piplup a lot, Piplup can attack all the enemies at once, and Pikachu has the potion on it, allowing you to do things like heal Snivy/Servine/Serperior or Piplup before they faint. Along with that, they're each different types and have different weaknesses. Piplup's first attack also only takes one bar section so you can easily charge a sync and Bubble Beam is fairly powerful already.

My team’s been Rosa - Serperior, Skyla - Swanna, and Karen - Houndoom. Such an easy team comp to run

My team has been Phoebe, Rosa, and Kris. Load up Feraligatr with +crit and +6 attack and self sure hit and I can basically dish out the equivalent of 3 sync attacks each match before the opponent can even use their first one.

Liza's Lunatone is an amazing support! Try her out! You won't regret it

I used Rosa & Servine, Cheryl & Blissey, and Will & Xatu and blew through the story. Both servine and blissey have X Sp. Atk all and Xatu has Stored Power. And a passive that wont let stats lower. Xatu also has a move that copies and doubles an opponents stat changes Thus increasing stored power even more

For sync moves, you can keep your stats with certain abilities such as xatu's ability.

How about a vid on what Pokémon masters defines becoming what ash always wanted to be

I use: Serperior(support of course) Lucario(OP mega strike) Prinplup/Empoleon(bubble which hits opposite team at once for support attack)

I've been pretty trollie with Norman, Nanu, and Janine. Persian just existing boosts Ariados' cross poison status chance and maximizes venom drench debuff. Slacking's healing also boosts gauge and dominates almost everything after a screech from Persian.

Despite my frustration with the treatment of the main series, you’ve convinced me to at least try Masters out. Pulled a Bugsy not too long ago. Beedrill’s a murderer with twin needle and fell stinger, especially when it can make them crits, and even then when it mega evolves. I’m making a bug team

me when i unlocked brendons 4th move: wait hang on serperior and treeko seem broken gnoggin: its broken me: I don't know what I expected.

I don’t even play masters and I’m excited!

My favorite team rn is Gardenia, Drake, Roxanne. Getting off a +6 critical hit Leaf Storm is the best feeling! And since Drake and Gardenia can refill the action bar you can spam Leaf Storm nonstop. The speed boosts from Roxanne also help a lot, as do the Def and SpDef buffs from Drake. This team just has so many buffs its awesome!

Great video Lockstin! Definitely going to be using these tips. My only complaint with the game is that bugsy doesn't have a scyther....

Really good early set is a trainer like noland with pinsir, and fury cutter which increases power with every hit. After 4-5 hits with attack up he’s doing like 170 per hit with neutral damage. Plus mega pinsir means that it’s stats can’t be lowered

I pulled Karen and Phoebe with my first 3,000 gems and combined with Rosa will carry you through the story. Rosa has X Sp Atk All and an energy refill, Phoebe has Dire Hit All and an energy refill, and Karen has Snarl to melt the whole team, or Dark Pulse(after mega evolving) to clean up anything left.

I just spam all my team damage boost and speed stuff, enough to use my Sync Attack.

I haven’t watched the video so sorry if this is similar but I highly reccomend a team of drake, Brendan and Skyla. Just buff the teams defence and speed with Skyla and save all the potions for treeko and do the same with drake using x special defence all and hard to starboard

My team right now is Lycanroc, Serperior, and Stoutland. I actually do have Treeko but I so far am liking Lycanroc more.

what does stoutland offer that made you choose it? i've been using the same team but with swanna/skyla. i like the huge speed/defense boost that lets me spam stone edge so that the enemy can't sync move before their demise

@@travis7638 I had been using Skyla for a while, but the thing with stoutland is that he can refill the energy bar, and I find that the instant refill is more useful then the gradual energy benefit of Skyla. In the long run of the battle Skyla might give more energy total, but Stoutland front loads the energy so I feel like I can get more of it early to try to beat my opponent to their sync move, since getting hit by one is often just a loss. Also, he lets me have less set-up time at the start of the battle, so I can get to attacking sooner. Honestly I don't really know if one is objectively better, but I prefer Stoutland so far.

Eragonnogare seems like the game is bugged. I read up on cheren and he’s supposed to restore 2 bars but then I used him in battle and restored the gauge to FULL. He serves as another Rosa but with full heal, a chance to reduce enemy defenses at the start with crunch, and a passive that increases speed if he gets hit by status. Rosa is also supposed to restore 3 move bars, but as I guess all trainer abilities that restore gauge are like that right now.

@@travis7638 ​Cheren's skill (and Rosa's, incidentally, though by 3) actually reads "Increases the move gauges of all allied sync pairs by two." The reason it fills to full in solo is that all three sync pairs in play share the same bar, so restoring two bars to each will restore the total gauge by 6, which is the maximum it can be with all upgrades purchased. The reason it's worded in this way is because of multiplayer: In there, Cheren will only restore each player's gauge by 2, and Rosa by 3.

I can't believe you havent done a video regarding the Regis (rock, steel, ice, gigas) or how AWESOME THEIR VOICES ARE!! xD

Often it is better to take out the opponent's supporting pokemon first. Their actions, including buffs and healing, contribute to the sync attack countdown. Fewer pokemon will mean it takes longer for your opponent to use their strongest attack. At least earlier in the game; maybe not so much once you've leveled up and have access to better team members.

I really liked the video, I do have to insert that allolan riachu by far surpasses most Pokémon though. I have him at level 95, running with a seperior, and he deals about 200-300 damage to each Pokémon with his 3 skill move. I’ve plowed through the majority of all co-op and all of the main story and training sections thanks to riachu. Also he’s so strong that I can sub in two level 1 Pokémon as left and right side, and riachu handles a very hard training solo, even on supercourses

I got siebold and phoebe in the first few chapter. Using siebold phoebe and Rosa, you can make some crazy numbers. Its making the whole play through a breeze.

Can't wait to be able to actually play this game someday maybe.

My current team is Rosa with serperior, skyla with swanna, and Roxie with whirlipede. Whirlipede feels really good. It uses a lot of bar for its attacks, but with the two supports, as well as whirlipede’s passive that gives it a chance to raise its speed on every attack, meter is never an issue. On top of that, both of its attacks as well as its sync move have a chance to poison.

Playing a lot of regular pokemon is actually a hindrance when playing Masters You've spent years learning type matchups and stat spreads and movepools to a point where it becomes second nature, only for it all to be cast aside when you use an electric attack on a grond type, all pokemon can move at the same time, the best support actions are trainer actions and treecko is the strongest pokemon in the game

This video came just in time for me Now I just need to find a nice Striker.

So far, my top strategy is: Rosa, Barry and Whitney. You double buff his special attack and speed with Rosa and Whitney respectively, then you spam Bubble, which hits everyone on the enemy team. Even if you're not super effective, you deal absurd amounts of damage, all while spamming Body Slam on the main Pokemon with Whitney to paralyze him, then hit him with her Sync Move for extra damage.

Lockstin you’re tips and tricks worked

When you see a bunch of Masters video and ads but its the only Pokemon game your phone is incompatible with.

Haha Will's so busted when you team him with 2 buff/healer tanks. He gets 3-4 stacks for stored power and has his ability if opponent buffs. If you reach sync move it gives 2 more buffs later and Will has a passive that prevents debuffs. OP

I've found Feraligatr using Mega Kick is an absolute unit destroyer. It gets X Atk and a trainer ability that guarantees a hit and critical combined with its ability which makes normal type attacks water Now use Winona/pelliper with rain dance

this seems like the most accurate Pokemon battle system we are going to get in turn based style
