I'm confused. Could the Google account first be removed from the smartphone device by going through Settings, and then Accounts, and removing the Google account from the device there? An then go to the google account online (either on the device or desktop/laptop computer), and choose to disassociate the account from the mobile device; and then, if desired, go ahead and delete the whole Google account from Google?

I appreciate your help, now, i will never get to do some action on someones email
