Well I appreciate you getting back to me so I have to ask you another question because when I ask a question a lot of people you know maybe they're busy or whatever don't get back to me so now what I need to ask you as I told you J for many years with current table mixer and all that got heart problems so I'm getting back into DJ so what would you what would your opinion be about what is the best DJ controller out there just for mixing I don't beat juggle a cut or any of that just for mixing what would you recommend

You'd prob like the pioneer flx 10 I think it is, The next version of the srt 1000 I think the rev7 is the greatest controller on the planet Rev5 is cheaper and new functions Depends on your style If it's really just super basic mixing, Anything really will work

I would like to ask a question I had stopped djing for a while because I had triple bypass but I'm getting back so I downloaded the Serrato pro but it still has all of that old music how can I Get a clean slate and take all of that stuff off and just use my new Eternal drives

You would just hit control f, which you set you to "All" Or just pick the top crate all Hit control a to select all, and controll delete to delete everything You drives will all have backups and stuff, so when you plug it in, they just load until you clear it

So the problem I’m having it is delete it the track (control -delete) and do delete the file with the track (control -shift-delete) Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. When they do work, once I shut down Serato and open it again they all are back in Serato. Is something I’m doing wrong here?

You have a backup for sure It's in /music/_serato_/ It might be a hidden folder I don't wanna tell you to delete here because these are your actual crates / backup crates It's loading the track from somewhere, maybe your hard drive, maybe the internal Without knowing specifically I can't tell you But then on the location column and you'll know where it's coming from

How does it flag or know which one is the 'main' or 'original' file?

It doesn't unfortunately, You would have to know on ypur own end It will show you the file paths, So depends how ypu have your drive setup

So I finally installed Serato Pro on my PC and dropped my library into the program window. Nothing happened... so I did it again and 2 days later there was 12,000 songs in the library instead of 5,900🙄. How many copies of Love Shack was in the directory? 7! I spent a week last year deleting duplicates and re-titling and genre tagging my library and now it's all crazy again.

You probably dropped too much music in at once and essentially crashed it, You def don't want all of that in a single folder tho, Do you have a built crate structure? How did you bring it in?

Is the music on your hard drive proper? Honestly I would probably just wipe the entire serato library and start again fresh

@@saltytexasranger6301 What do you mean? If you delete it out of your serato with just soft delete, ctrl + delete It only deletes off serato, not the source file. So whereever it is, you just drag it back in

@@TheDJConnect Oh... I spent all my time last year cleaning up my library, fixing track names, titles, genres and deleting duplicates in iTunes. Then I copied the library of approximately 5,500 tracks to an external hard drive and transferred the music library to the PC I'm using with Serato. When I dragged the library to Serato something weird happened and now there are many duplicates of tracks to the point there's now over 12,000 tracks... So, I was hoping there's a way to delete the library from Serato so I can re-drag a new copy to start over fresh and hopefully not have all the duplicates and broken links...

I get an error when I try to run it on Mac. Anyone else get this? Say can't prove its not malware.

Scan your hard drive and than delete them Exactly as shown in the video
