How to Defend Against Radical Islam w/ Dr. Jay Smith | #19
Islam is rapidly spreading and will soon become the largest religion in the world. In this episode, Larry is joined by Dr. Jay Smith, known for his focus on apologetics and polemics among the Muslims of London. In a world where religious dialogue and understanding are more crucial than ever, Jay Smith fearlessly addresses the challenges posed by radical Islam in London. He tackles the confrontations between Muslims and Christians in churches and on university campuses with passion and dedication. Jay aims to foster a space for constructive conversations about faith by engaging in polemics and thought-provoking debates.
At the heart of Jay's mission is his involvement in the vibrant environment of Speakers Corner. He tackles polemics head-on, engaging with those who question Christianity's foundations. Jay doesn't shy away from addressing attacks on Christianity by Muslims and even delves into the contradictions within the Bible. The physical attacks that often accompany these debates are not deterring Jay from standing up for his beliefs. Discover why Jay Smith remains unafraid in the face of adversity. By sharing insights into the nature of apologetics and polemics, Jay explains how Christians can confidently defend their faith while engaging with other belief systems. He emphasizes that standing up to radical Muslims isn't about fear but the courage to do God's work.

Furthermore Jesus is the son of God who we worship, Muslims believe God cannot have a son.

Eschew Protestant and Muslim lies but embrace the Orthodox faith of our ancestors. We don’t need polemic because we have the Body and Blood of Christ on the altar. Look to Ethiopian and Coptic Christians for the way.
I spent a year in London on a Christian team. We reached out to Muslims and went to speakers corner. I so value this experience.
We saw this muslim push south in Uganda near Kampala. The morning call to prayer would wake us at 5 am until my roommate and I sang Praises to God as loud as we could out the window of our room every morning. They stopped while we were there.

@@IdeasHaveConsequences Quran (only scripture with 100% accuracy/preservation) says Allah is “Al-Ahad”(one/indivisible).Philosophically, It is impossible for 3 distinct perfections to exist simultaneously. Father (Perfection 1/distinct1) =Son (Perfection 2/distinct2)=idolatry.This is due to addition of two extra perfections that are Co-equal/Co-eternal&distinct with Allah(the most Exalted). Not just the Quran, but also the old/New Testament textually establish tauheed(monotheism). So, then why believe in trinity and associate two imaginary parts to Allah(one/indivisible/Self-Sufficient/All-Loving)? How could your love/worship be undivided/exclusive for Allah(the most Exalted) when there are two other equally unique/perfect entities to adore? The verses of bible used by trinitarians are extremely vague and require hard interpretation to extract the understanding that Father/Son/Holy Ghost are Co-equal/Co-Eternal&distinct.

PHENOMENAL PODCAST! Over 20 years ago, the West Wing TV series took on the issue of Islam. And to explain that culture in a way that would be generally understood by the viewing audience, one of the actors, a woman, had the creative role of telling the story of Ishmael and Isaac from the Bible to a reporter. The excellence of that narrative made a lasting impression on me. From the overwhelming drama that has been presented in this interview as a common experience in the Eastern world between Islam and Christianity, I doubt such a narrative could carry any value today except as given by such heroes as Dr. Jay shared from his experiences. We westerners are truly spoiled and lazy as Christians. May this program give us motivation to be bolder in our sharing of the Gospel!

I am an American and had no idea other then some media or churches saying Christians are being persecuted and killed. We are so far removed from these cultures and places that it just doesn't register to us what it is really like and the violence involved. This has really opened my eyes as to what you both are doing in spreading Gods word and what bravery really is to do Gods bidding. I pray God keeps all of you safe so you can continue your work in converting Muslim into Christianity. This women you were talking about is one of the bravest people and must be filled with the holy spirit to be able to do what she does. I pray Gods blessing continues to be with her and keeps her safe. I look forward to more of these kinds of talks so that we in America can understand just what is going on in these countries. The media has no interest in the persecution of Christians in Africa, because they regard Christianity as a part of European colonialism. Islam is regarded as indigenous to the region. This although Muslims were an integral part of the Atlantic slave trade as well as the trans saharan trade that went back to Roman times and extended into the Middle East. Islam does not look upon slavery with the same eyes as liberal and Christian Europeans. who came after many centuries to look upon it as a moral evil, one that is suppressed by law, The medieval west African kingdoms were no different, and also all supplied slaves for the European slave traders,

What you have said about Nigeria is very very true and even understated. Islamic stronghold in Nigeria is very systematic. The muslim north controls the resources in the south through politics, yet the north is the poorest part of Nigeria. In politics, Islamic sentiments have prevalence over any other criteria. This problem is majorly in the north and the Christians in the south do not see that as a problem because they have some level peaceful coexistence over there.

Wise advice: "Don't do the polemics, just the apologetics."
I tried to disprove all religions and I am now Christian. When learning about Islam I was shocked on how evil it is. Mormonism in not Christianity and neither is JW.

You are so welcome
As an Atheist all of my life, I have no qualms about living around any people of any religion, as long as we have conversations peacefully whenever we see each other. Been married for 50 years to a wonderful Christian woman, so, it must work that, two different people with different emotions and beliefs, especially for the two of us. Love, Freedom, and Respect for one another are the essence of living this short life. It is the time to Forget and Forgive, because If you don't FORGET you cannot FORGIVE. BTW, I was born to a Christian family, but at 20-something, I saw what I called, the light, That something I saw, would love for everyone to see and feel. Peace.

@@manuelrichardson6943 I said, The Light, and not the Darkness. You should read the Bible not to memorize it but with the internet to understand it.

We end division through similarity. Thousands of years the planets were our Gods. Religion is a lot of supposition. I could not speak this unless I died before. You live forever as energy.your bodies are vehicles. Bring all together with love. New concepts inclusive. ❤
To answer your question. Absolutely not. We do not worship the same God ‼️. I pray for my Muslim friends of which I have maybe 3 . They are very kind people and hospitable. And like most Muslims they don't know the Quran, so aren't radical
I SAW THAT YOUNG TURKISH WOMAN AND WHAT HAD HAPPENED TO HE FROM DAVID WOODS PROGRAM SHE WAS GREAT
Sonia Azam is a converted muslim who does a you tube channel. She is a very knowledgable Bible believer.
I am an atheist and there is no need to defend yourself against me when it is as simply as if you expect me to believe something prove it or go away and if you try to impose your religious views on me then that's not you defending yourself against me that is me trying to defend myself against you. I do not understand why theists feel it's necessary to be condescending of others and make them their enemies simply because they do not validate what you convinced yourself is true. Doing that only further illustrates how much it has to do with you and nothing to show that what you are selling is good, fulfilling, or divine. No one owes it to you to validate what you cannot show exists in objective reality because as the various religions shows everyone has their speculations.

How can you be shown objective reality. Objective reality merely exists. The field of physics can explain it but if you want to be shown the reality of the supernatural you are speaking about a different field. It doesnt obey physical laws or objective reality. This supernatural field is a dichotomy of darkness and light, spiritually speaking. Proof is shown in divine healings and miracles defying objective reality. Better to seek the Light because it will conquer the Darkness. Seek the One who says He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

That goes both ways you know? It's unbelievably common to see militant atheists go out of their way to mock and talk down to those who are religious.

@@vladtheinhaler8940 i am not saying it does not happen but i can not recall ever seeing an atheist go up to a christian or enter any strictly religious platform without any reference to atheism and mock Christians or any other religion but countless times have I seen Christians and Muslims approach atheist or show up on their platforms to talk about their religion and how wrong we are. Speaking for myself I never do that until I am approached or until atheist are mentioned. Militant? Yes I can be when I know that Christians seek to control me and legislate what I can or cannot do with my own body, and seek to turn a Democracy into a theocracy while Muslims ae very arrogant, and hypocritical. I am very resentful of others trying to make what they believe have anything to do with me or act as if I owe tt to them to validate their beliefs. Never have I seen atheist try and impose their belief on anyone. Doing that only makes religion mock worthy
