Whether you're a parent cleaning up your car after a long soccer season, a weekend warrior cleaning out your car's, a detailer wanting to up their interior detailing skills, here is an effective way to deep clean your car carpets and mats (and seats too!) without expensive machinery like extractors or steamers. You can use a hose instead of a pressure washer too. But all you need is a drill, drill brushes, wet/dry vac with a minimum of 5 hp, specific carpet shampoo (I like Bonnet Pro Rocket Revive It), water source and you can have deep clean results just like the pros!

I do that to the floor mats too and I don’t like using APC on carpets either. Also, it’s nice to see a fellow female detailer.
Chelsea another "excellent" demo showing with a little elbow grease and the right tools you can do a great job of cleaning carpet floormats! Thanks for taking the time to share this valuable demo video with the rest of us "Detailers" and "Weekend Warriors"! :-) (Y) Mac
Great job Chelsea, you are a very good detailer!!!!!!
I had some floor mats from a 92 Lexus that were sitting in my back room for years waiting to be cleaned before selling them. Thanks to you they got a deep cleaning and got me top dollars in their sale. Thank you for sharing your experience and giving me a great result.
Another great video 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💯💯💯
I have a guild 16ltr wet and dry vac with all the tools (soft brush crevice tool etc) Glad to see it does a stand up job of extracting shall have to give it a whirl. Thank you. You have a new subscriber
I use revive it rocket too! Good stuff
Love it!
Great tips
Looks good! Whether you use an extractor or not, you can definitely get amazing results by investing in better chemicals. That's really the trick of it. Your drill brush before going straight to cleaning was definitely a useful tip.
Pressure washer. 2 min. Job done
Thanks!
I always dry stuff out by putting them on grit guards. Especially wash mitts
409 is great on carpets, in the foam can version!!!!!

would enjoy a video on how to remove odor from a smoker;s car
What about Krud Kutter? That's what I have at home at the moment
My used car didn't come with mats, so I got some OEM ones at Pick-N-Pull for $20 for a set. However, I don't have a shopvac and it is not an option at all. My car is parked in a parking lot across the street with no access to a hose or electricity. I'm going to be using a whole lot of elbow grease, I feel...
POg is good to as a spot remover not as a prespray and Upholsteryshampoo is good for the seats 100 percent alcohol too
no fancy equipment, "pulls out a drill with a brush on it" lol

I never meet a person who doesn't own a power drill. Fix your life
Use a car blower to dry the carpets and seats on low setting low heat if it has heat

Great tip!
I have the yellow drill attachment and it stinks. It’s very hard and drags me all over the place. Is the white one softer and easier to work with?

Yes. I normally only use the yellow on thinner mats or weather tech mats. White is softer and better for most mats and seats
Great video! But I think I'm at point where stopping at Walmart and buying them a set of mats for $20 will save a few hours of filthy grunt work. Yes?

Depends on how bad they are. Once they get holes yes I would replace.

The off the shelf mats don't always fit well. Yes, you can trim them, but i still prefer the originals. Tip: get a small, cheap mat and place over original. It'll prolong the original mats.
so you use a micro fiber to extract? heck ya
What's that cleaner again?

Jay Mendez That’s why you carry a broom in your truck.. Sweep the concrete 1st then it’s ok to clean mats on the floor.
How to deep clean car mats without an extractor! ( Uses an extractor (vac) at the end of the video. sigh*)

wet / dry vac isn't an extractor.

@@DuffmaneB I agree. A shop vac is not what I'd call an extractor in the car detailing world.

Apparently some people don't know the definition of extract!
16mins for a demo of cleaning car mats is very long, to do just one mat would have been much easier for yourself and not been drawn out for those who view.
I got some original Nissan floor mats that are 22 years old and are the same colour. I need to give them a deep clean without damaging the mats
Excellent breakdown; I’ve seen a lot of wonderful videos showing the process, but this video is detailed really well! Obligatory Liked and Sub’d 🧼 🧽 🚗👍▶️
