i literally thought i was the only one that planned their dorm room like this. I literally have been thinking about this for so long and when my school didn't post the dorm dimensions, I emailed like 4 different people asking about it. After sharing a lime green room from my childhood for my entire life with my sister, I'm so excited to be able to decorate a new space that is kind of a blank slate for me. Loved your video!

Tip! Like yours, my bed was too tall for a traditional bed skirt so instead I took a thin white somewhat detailed curtain from Home Goods and put it between my mattress and my bed frame so it draped down and covered the long side of the bed and hid everything underneath! I recommend a curtain with ties at the top so that you can tie it to the bed frame. :)

YES! know the layout of your dorm room, i bought this shoe rack thinking it could fit under my bed, NOPE!

ahh so exciting!! I used the uva housing website, housing.virginia.edu/incoming-undergraduates to look up my dorm and the dimensions are listed under each different housing style!

Well, I don’t really have the answers to this. If you want something similar though, you can buy bed risers. I have them for my bed at home and they’re very sturdy. My bed is pretty high now although not quite as high as a dorm bed.
